Syracuse's rankings slide downward and was predicted five years ago

Just make sure you ask the admissions dept. Call them tomorrow as a matter of fact. I just texted my friend and asked him about it to make sure. Anyway, what I am trying to say is that, early decision is binding to you having to attend the SCHOOL, no matter what DEPT you are accepted into. I’m not an admissions expert so I can’t really elaborate on it anymore than that.

Get back to me with what they say.

Based on what you said, you are incorect… This is what the SU website says: [Applying for Admission](http://syr.edu/futurestudents/undergraduate/applytosu/applying_for_admission/early-decision2.html)

I guess I was wrong. I suppose many people just aren’t aware of the rules, and Syracuse decides to offer a lot of people alternative programs, but students don’t know they have options. Or people knew it wasn’t binding, but were still disappointed that they were not accepted into their program of choice and were hoping to transfer into newhouse or whitman.
