Actually, Kent is from Wapakoneta, OHIO, population 9,400. I had the same thought, given that Wapakoneta is really in the middle of nowhere. Apparently, he trains at the Dance Centre of Wapakoneta.

I’ve wondered about his training, too. That happens in gymnastics, too. Most of the Elite gymnasts come out of a few well known powerhouse gyms (like WOGA in our area) but there are always a few natural talents that come from unknown gyms.

Oh no, another injury. Now Billy is out. If he can’t dance next week then he is eliminated tomorrrow and it will be 3 weeks in a row that there is elimination by injury. They asked tonight what was wrong this season and I still think it is the choreography that they have let go wild going for Emmy nominations. It seems to me they are a little more restrained this week though.

It also seemed they were implying that Billy’s situation is not as serious as the others, as the docs gave him the choice to dance or not. And after seeing how great Kent did with Twitch on that last piece last night, part of me wonders if Billy just did not feel at all comfortable dancing beside Kent…plus, that piece would have been killer on a sore knee!! and I am speaking as one who had knee surgery fairly recently!

One wonders if Billy perceived that he was close to elimination, and he wanted to save face, so he has an “injury”. When does the audience have the final say about who is eliminated this season?

My DD and I just don’t enjoy watching Kent - something about his “Gee Whiz!” expressions annoys us. Of course, he’s a gifted, wonderful dancer and we’ve tried to get into the Kent Cult but it’s just not happening in our household.

I thought Robert was fantastic last night. Also Adecheke. I would opt to watch those two any day over Kent. Lauren went a little awry in her last number.

I liked the new judge, didn’t catch his name.

Poor Billie. He’s arguably the best male dancer on the show but just doesn’t come across somehow.

This is a really strange season . . .

Maybe it’s the Mom in me, but I thought it was really wise for Billy to take no chances with a knee injury. Plus…I was really glad to hear that they are bringing in a consultant to help them evaluate the injury trend.
Sorry to say that I too find Kent’s expressions distracting.

We adore Kent at our house.

Billy was probably smart…he’d probably be in the bottom three whether or not he danced, so why risk hurting his knee more? He’s gambling that Jose will be in the bottom three also and that the judges will say goodbye to Jose before him.

I think Jose is going tonight. He really doesnt look like he’s in the same dance catergory as the others. I really enjoyed everyone’s numbers last night but his. Lands the world does love Kent, dont they? The girls yelling for him was wild. My daughters echo the sentiment!

I agree that they are pushing these kids too much with the choreography and that’s why there are so many injuries.

We still really love Kent and Lauren in our house, but I thought both Robert and Adecheke did great last night. I think it is time for Jose to go if Billy is ok to dance next week.

I have not seen the show for a few weeks, but loved Ken the firs time I saw him, now i am not sure how I feel about being part of a cult!!!

Now that Alex is gone, I feel like Robert is showing more & more style. I did not like the male pasa doble and am more than ready for Jose to go, he just does not have the skills, no matter how cute his smile.

Hey, when did hefty start making RED garbage bags and who wrapped that one around Kat Deeley? She is adorable, but her clothes are not and those 6" heels don’t flatter her legs or stance!

Oh, so that’s what it was. I thought it was a giant lobster bib left over from dinner.

loved adechike and comfort’s routine last night!!! i agree robert seems to be getting stronger also. i like Kent but often when i’m watching i feel like he pauses before critical moments ie jumps, or catching partner as if not quite sure?

It was absolutely criminal to put Kat into that red deflated balloon last night. How dare they??

I’d actually love to see a male trio number, something along the lines of the “three tenors” in opera. There are such amazing male dancers this season.

Agree with a prior post that Comfort and Adicheke were brilliant. Personally, I thought it a lot stronger than Kent’s stamp routine.

^^ agree about the stamp routine. It looked much better in rehearsal.

It’s “step.”

Maybe it was a bio-hazard bag that Kat was wearing. I googled it once and read that she styles herself!

ya know, I knew that :o especially since they had that notebook prop that said stepping 101 or something like that.

Our HS periodically has a step team.

Remember the controversy earlier this year when a team from a white sorority at UArkansas won the big national step championship?

BTW, I love Twitch. I don’t remember loving him when he was competing. I love him because he is so relaxed and is so good that he makes everything seem so easy. He probably wasn’t as relaxed when he was competing because he had to dance out of his style.

I love Kat but some of her outfits OMG.

IMO, step is better suited for a group not just 2 dancers.
