<p>Please define this - often, I hear this phrase associated with high-achieving Asians. Does this put them to an advantage or disadvantage? For example -

  • Intel Competition
  • Siemens Westinghouse Competition
  • RSI
  • SSP
  • AMC\AIME\USAMO
  • Scholastic Competition
  • Violin\Piano
  • Etc.,</p>

<p>Are these ‘tailor made’ ? If there are hundreds of kids doing such compeitions, how can one express their true love of mathematics or scienec, and differentiate themselves?</p>

<p>Getting accepted to RSI is a clear sign that you are really dedicated. With the compititions, winning them would set you apart from the majority.</p>
