A friend wants to not take her required computer class and just take the test to get out of it, leaving her either an open elective, or no 1st period. She justifys this by REtaking her math class at the JC and will still basically have 6 classes… but its just a retake.
SHould she do a science, or even Latin 1? or just only have 5 of 6 periods?

For the first time ever, I only have 5/6 classes ( + correspondence though) and it’s soo nice to get out of school early.
However, if she’s only a junior and wants to get into a decently selective college, I wouldn’t recommend it.

If I were her I’d take an elective that I’m really interested in.

6 is probably better for junior year. I’m doing 5 next year (12th), as are most of my friends, but 4 of them are AP, so it’s a little more understandable.

But if you’re just going to add frosting like Latin I, maybe not.

Well she is going to be in AP English, AP bio, AP History, Precalc, and spanish 3… she is not about to put in AP physics or AP CHem as she feels already overloaded. Her only real options would be like anatomy, prep physics, geology, psychology, or some art…
