My question is, is PE excusable in my senior year for the University of Chicago?

Um, no, meeting grad requirements shouldn’t “ruin” anything.

Be,careful not to over-think college admissions! Worrying about timing of the Pe equirement on admissions,to as particular school is just silly. Which school has a big enough staff to make sub_subtle decisions. You aren’t guaranteed admissions any place. If you are denied admissions, read the letter rather than beating yourself up about PE as a senior If your admissions really depended on when you took PE in high school, I think you would have hit upon a very strange place to apply. Personally, I would think that the school was too weird for me to consider attending.

It won’t matter. Colleges aren’t going to look at things that closely, and besides nearly all high schools have a PE requirement.
