Taking Study Hall, but make up for it by self studying Ap's?

Hey guys, cuz of schedulign conflicts, I’ve decided to take a study hall. My family doesnt have money to pay for online classes, so I’m selfstudying world hsitroy for sat II, ap psych and ap environmental. will colleges look down on this? i plan to take the ap psych and ap enviro tests at the end of the year tho.

I really don’t think they will look down on you for taking a study hall. Especially if you self study 2 AP’s and World History, that’s way more than you would get out of one class anyway.

Study halls are very common, except on CC, apparently.

Dude just take the study hall. Embrace it. Love it. Cherish it. Don’t me a crazy person like everyone else on here where study halls are the equivalent of evil. They’re awesome.

I had a scheduling problem, that’s why I took study hall, or else I wouldn’t take it. But I think self studying world history sat is too much along with psych and environ, so I’m not gonna do tht.

I say focus on what you can. Taking a study hall is not bad at all. But too many self studies can get overwhelming. Maybe focus on AP environmental and the SAT II. I’m in psych and enviro along with some other APs and I wouldn’t want to self study either, but If I had to pick it would be enviro. I think psych is much more fun when taught to you

really? thanks for the advice, but ive taken some ap history classes and did decently well on them. I know the requirements for ap psych. and im in ap bio this yr, so ap enviro shouldn’t be too bad. im good at memorizing. any other advice on ap psych and ap enviro self study? prep books? i heard barrons for psych, smarty pants, PR, 5 steps, txt books = enviro? correct? advice?

Best of luck to you! . As far as review books…hmm, I got barrons and 5 steps for both of them and they are packed with information. I also bought these flashcards that are SOOO SO SO SO SO helpful. I love them, if you go to barnes and noble or whatever and look in the study section they have them.

oh ok well thanks. and what other ap/honors classes ru taking if u dont mind me asking

Right now:
AP Enviro, AP Psych, AP Human Geo, Honors Chem, Honors Alg 2

Next Semester:
Honors Pre cal, AP Euro, Honors English, Honors Civics, AP Human Geo

woa how can u jump to pre calc from hnrs alg 2? u need a full yr of alg 2.

…? Just how my school does things I guess.

any more advice from others?

Nothing wrong with a study hall. I actually wanted to test out of a required World Cultures class this year so I had room for either a study hall or electrical tech. The latter of which is easy enough to almost constitute a study hall.

thnks. any more advice for self study ap psych and enviro same yr? how hard/easy are they? im taking ap bio too so will tht help the ap enviro?
