Taking US history as a senior

I was planning my classes for junior and senior year, and my school requires US history. The things is, at my school, and at many other schools, US history is a considered a course that juniors take. I’ve heard the horror stories about US, and I also wanna do comp sci instead next year… so I wanted to take US Senior year… But I dunno, will colleges think I’m a slacker for taking US a year later than most other people? My junior year schedule would be pretty light without it…

I think it would be better if you took US junior year because you said your junior year schedule would be pretty light without it, but your junior year transcript is what colleges are going to be looking at mainly, so it’s a really important year.

They won’t think you’re a slacker for not taking USH as a junior. They will think you’re a slacker if your junior year schedule is “pretty light.”

Thanks for your opinions! My school only allows 5 academic courses at a time… so my schedule for junior year would b calculus, spanish, english, physics, and comp sci… by light i mean that comp sci is a lot less intense than US… everything else is pretty standard tho…

Can you take USH instead of Computer Science junior year?

Do you go to Exeter?

yes I can take USH instead of comp sci… but I want to take comp sci.

Can you do computer science through another online program and receive credit for it?

@exiefalcon123 I hope you’re enjoying your last days before break ends :slight_smile:

@UIButton‌ Thanks!

@southernbelle16‌ I guess I can but I would prefer to take it at school
