Does anyone think that Blinn candidates will hear back this week?
I believe thereās still another full wave. Might be small but Iām hopeful for you guys. Then weāll see team and gateway. Timing has been different this year so we shall see.

Iām not sure what the code is for gateway but I know on howdy under manage applications, itāll show TEAM and then major I believe. I donāt know how it shows up in AIS. Anyone? Bueller?

@AggieMomhelp Thinking back to a few years ago, I think the āclueā with Gateway is that it showed the student entering in the summer semester, instead of the fall. For instance - College Station, Summer 2019. (My son is a sophomore, so I donāt remember the exact wording.)
@Docloraine I would LOVE for you to stick around CC and let us know how the PTA option works for your student. It would be a great help next cycle for applicants to have someone with first hand experience and knowledge of the program.
My Howdy page updated this afternoon to the six tabs. AIS still says āyou are being considered for Engineering Academy at Blinn-Bryan.ā Iāve heard nothing but good things about Blinn E Academy and personally, I think it will be better for me to start off smaller and work up to full size university life at A&M.
Hey guys sorry to pester just wondering when u think Iāll hear. Sat 1110 lots of extracurriculars eagle scout and act:22. I also was wondering if there is a cutoff like SAT score for Blinn team and gateway? I would prefer blinn team but weāll see.
@Coleaggie19 this year it seems like those scores are not going to get you into even team. Trust me I get that test scores arenāt a definite indication of success. My daughter was terrible at them. Like so so bad. It is Very competitve and those are below avg scores for most years. However without seeing the rest of your stats I could be off base. If not offered other pathways, I would try PTA depending on major or just straight Blinn and transfer. Best of luck and keep the faith.
Oh and Eagle Scout! Very impressive. Congrats on that. I know tamu likes to see that.

@Coleaggie19 absolutely. Worst case will be PSA. Itāll just depend on your intended major what campuses will be available to you.
@noah4151 to put it delicatelyā¦ no. All majors have heard because acceptance isnāt based on major. Two weeks ago there were about 2000 full admits still to be revealed. Plus team and gateway. Yes we hear a lot about engineering and it has shown how competitve your class is. Like wow. The students getting academy with 1400 plus on sat with 1Q ranking is staggering. But besides that, tamu is only offering about 22,599 full admit offers across the board. With that offer, about 10,500 will accept. This is their goal. Itāll be about 250(ish) less than last year. Two weeks ago 20k has been released. Not sure where we are at now but stay tuned and best of luck! Youāll be fine in the long run regardless. Itās such a fun time for you guys so try to enjoy it.
My first major is public health and my second is Chemistry and it hasnāt changed to my second is that good or bad? Have any public health majors been admitted to blinn or full yet? Getting anxious!
Wow, so about 20,000 acceptances and only a couple thousand more left? Thatās not looking very good for us reviews ?
@alexxaudaro major is irrelevant at this point. We are waiting on all nonengineering majors at this point for full, team and gateway. No news is good news at this point so hang on.
@nervoustamumommy yes that is what we were told by tamu a couple of weeks ago. I posted a link to the article of what was told to us. Not sure what page itās on. But yes, still waiting on those final full admits then other pathways which are also really good options.
