@AggieDreamin definitely true. However, we had a Gateway decision in our house that was after the loss of the magic button, so I’m choosing to hold out hope for you all, and of course I’m still feeling invested until my students have a decision, so I’m rooting for the woman to have been knowledgeable and truthful lol. I only called a couple of times during this whole long process, I really never got any conflicting information as so many others say they did. Our process has been pretty true to what they’ve told us. They always reiterated to me that it could take up to mid March. I just didn’t want to believe it would really take that long ?
I do find it strange that there haven’t been any BIMS majors thus far (that I’ve noticed here) to receive full admission, let alone any decision yet, and I just can’t imagine that every single one we see here still waiting could be truly getting psa, so here’s to hoping that may mean something…
Got denied and received a PSA offer about 10 minutes ago. SAT was 1310 Homeschooled with a 4.0 and 39 college credits from a community college. Not the decision I wanted at all but God has a plan and I’m just happy this entire process is over! Good luck to everybody else throughout this time!
Check your AIS portals…I’ve looked 12 times today and just found a PSA offer for my son (who lost his button Friday).
For the stats:
27%
1150 SAT (no ACT)
Great LOR’s
All the normal great EC’s
He’ll take his TAMUGalveston acceptance (he applied directly as plan B) and be on his way to becoming an Aggie!! He plans to change major/transition to CStat next year. He’ll participate in TAMUG Corp and then Frog Up in CStat 2nd semester/sophomore year.
Good luck to everyone and their future Aggie - where there’s a will there’s a way!!!
Of course I’ll still check-in multiple times daily to check on everyone’s progress and slowly wean myself from this obsession that has consumed me for these several months. I can always just shift to a FB TAMU parents page to fill the hole ?
what sucks is that i got a spam email in december saying i was admitted but after i figured out it was a spam i was told that my application was amazing and that i wouldn’t have trouble getting in (by a person in admissions). i was lied to and now my dream for 18 years is dead.
@Mommydoodle You’ll have to Accept PSA then you’ll see the PSA schools. I clicked on it just to see, his shows:
PSA - TAMU Corpus Christi
PSA - TAMU Commerce
PSA - TAMU International
PSA - TAMU Kingsville
PSA - TAMU Prairie View
PSA - TAMU Texarkana
PSA - West Texas A&M
I believe you’ll select a participating major from the list, then the schools you’re interested in and then TAMU will submit your information to those systems schools. At that point you would receive an acceptance if you qualify.
@scaredfor4 your dream is NOT dead! you’re guaranteed admission to TAMU after one year (and certain grade requirements) at a system school. this is only a detour. life has lots of detours. think of it as an adventure…
I’ve posted my daughter’s stats before, but here they are with the decision:
When did you apply: 11/28/18
When did you get your UIN: a few days later
When did you receive your admission decision: received PSA offer on 3/4/19; (change major button disappeared on 3/2/19)
Are you an Auto-admit or Academic Admit or Review Admit: Review
Major/College of Choice: Geosciences
Class Rank: school does not rank, but TAMU assigned Q2
GPA: 3.7
SAT (with Sub Scores) 1340
ACT (with Sub Scores)
Fingers crossed for anyone still waiting for a decision. Hang in there!!!
From the forum from 2018, it was reported by those who received PSA that you click a button to accept PSA and the schools you are offered to attend will be there.
On the PSA thread, all of the system schools that have a PSA page are listed in the first post and DaleNChip has done some research on the housing at Corpus Christi. Check it out if that is an option you are considering.
My daughter got PSA. Underneath the accept/decline button it lists out her info with Business Administration underneath. Business doesn’t do PSA. Is this just a repeat of what she applied under?
