TAMU FALL 2020 TRANSFER ADMISSIONS

@HopingtobeAggieMom Yes, she’s in! Congrats to your daughter!

@JaceyK thank you! She is going to be so excited. Last year was a big disappointment when she didn’t get in because her stats were good, but there are just so many kids applying. But she worked her buns off this year and I am happy it paid off!

I think I’m not saying anything to her unless she looks herself or until the “official” letter is there.

How long after the Tabs appear before her status changes from “In Review”?

@HopingtobeAggieMom Congrats! and it could take as early as this afternoon to a couple of days. It’s bee sporadic this cycle. But… rest assured, she is in!

@AggieMomhelp thanks so much! I’m so excited for her!

How long does the Engineering Department take to send transfer audits, and admissions decision? I applied 2/04 to Biomedical Engineer and I have yet to receive my transfer audit

@macarenagarza For me (I applied to the Ag school) It took about 4 weeks for my transcripts to be processed, after they had been received. After they were processed, it only took about a 1-1.5 weeks for me to receive my transfer audit.

It’s officially official - my daughter’s AIS says that she’s been admitted & welcome to the Aggieland Family and to schedule her new student conference. We have one happy new Aggie in the family! Thanks for the support and all the answering of questions. Good luck to those of you waiting!

@mrw5712 have you gotten six tabs, any changes, or anything like that? I have not gotten any 6 tabs or anything yet. I applied to the ag college and recieved my transfer audit on 2/13.

@alyssa0liver Nope. Still no movement on my status. No 6 tab & it still says “Under Review” on my Howdy portal & AIS. However, it still shows Animal Science as my 1st choice & it says I am under review for Animal Science (so I guess that is good).

@mrw5712 hopefully we will hear something soon. My first choice is under review as well so maybe it will stay like that!

Howdy,
I am Construction Science in the College Architecture Program Transfer Admission (PTA) applicant. I submitted my application 1/7/20 and received my Audit Report on 1/23/20. I was just wondering when will i hear back on my decision?

IF you’re PTA then you probably won’t hear until all of your coursework is completed. The 30 hours have to be done in order to be accepted. Then it’s just a formality.

I’ve completed all the required coursework that you need a B and above as well the rest of the courses. Im only taking 3 classes this semester that are not in the required coursework. I also met witg an advisor and filled the forms for PTA. What do you mean by formality?

Once you complete your 30 hours with required coursework, you are guaranteed admission. It’s a contract so just like with PSA, if you fulfill your end of the contract, you are in. But if you are still completing your 30 hours post high school graduation, then you won’t hear until after spring semester.

Gotcha. I have 44 transferable credits and a GPA of 3.7. When i spoke to my regional advisor he said that i fulfilled the requirements for PTA and I should be receiving a decision by February but nothing has came in by February so i dont know. He said that my application no longer goes to the department instead it goes to admissions and they verify that I’ve met the requirements.

You did 30 credits since high school?

and correct, admissions says yes on pta and psa. Only straight transfers go to department. Great GPA. You would be safe either way.

Mechanical Engineering transfer with a 3.5 and 60hrs. Have green checks for almost 3 weeks but no audit posted yet. Is this normal?
this is freaking me out since I’ve got acceptances from other schools already but A&M has not even released my transfer audit.
Also, is my GPA competitive ?

Your GPA is at the bare minimum competitive. Most of the engineering freshmen going through ETAM are striving for 3.5 to be guaranteed admission into their first choice major of engineering. So I hope you get better a shot at it , but think it may be more competitive than you think.

Do you have any ECs or a good resume to show passion for Mechanical eng?
