TAMU FALL 2020 TRANSFER ADMISSIONS

Congrats to you all getting your 6 tabs, my son received his too today for ECON major.

@SMcC07 Whoop! So happy for your guys!

@Cattleworld correct, you would not get tabs if deferred! Congrats to your daughter, she is in and should get official word in the next day or so.

Is anyone else waiting to hear back from the college of education for EC-6 Generalist major?

My daughter finally has all green checkmarks. She carries a 4.0 GPA, and will have completed 32 hours at the end of the spring semester. Will she hear something back before her final spring grades are submitted or will she have to wait? She is applying to the Liberal Arts College for Communication. Also, I have read about deferment, does that mean an acceptance pending spring grades? Thanks for helping!

I got in!!! Saw 6 Tabs yesterday now it says I just need to register for NSC. Time to start looking for apartments. Any suggestions?

Holleman Crossing is great. Very affordable too!

@Hannh8 @evanpivirotto @aggiegirl2020 No, I haven’t yet. I will go to the A&M campus next week because I need to submit some documents. Planning to ask them about it once I am there. So far, I have registered for NSC and applied for on-campus apartment housing. Please let me know if I am missing anything.

On the website, it says that MGMT 211 and ISTM 210 have to be completed prior or during the first upper level business semester.

Also, I just created a group only for 2020 Mays Transfer. Join the group if possible so we all can stay up-to-date.

Hi everybody. I applied to transfer as a CS major for the fall. I am a second semester freshman approaching nearly 60 credits at my current school with a 3.9 gpa. Took 10 AP exams in high school and got 4s or 5s on all of them.

I got my transfer report on 3/8 and it said I only had 20 transferrable credits, which is well below the 24 credit minimum. After I emailed admissions, they sent me a rejection decision through AIS and said I should send them my spring grades by June 1 to be reconsidered. I am really confused as to why I got so few credits as I’ve completed all of the required CS courses already and am taking linear algebra and calc 3 right now.

Any help on how to proceed would be greatly appreciated!

They have to be graded credits to count towards the 24. Dual credit counts but AP doesn’t. Once you are in at Tamu, you can accept and apply those credits when and if you want to. Good luck!!! Sounds like you’re doing great, so just finish strong and you’ll get in.

Does anyone know how long it takes for the 2nd choice major to reflect on AIS if we’re not accepted to 1st choice?

It’s pretty instant.

Hi. Does anyone hear back from Engineering school? I got my audit on 02/18 and I am still waitting

Howdy! I was admitted to mays a month ago and I got my financial aid offers today and I got one $1000 scholarship and the rest are loans. Is this subject to change? I applied for the Phi Theta Kappa scholarships and was eligible for the Aggie transfer scholarships so does this mean I will not be receiving those? Or will that just appear later?

Have had the green check marks for a couple weeks now… where would the transfer audit report be?

@evanpivirotto In our experience, scholarships and aid continue to come out through summer. There’s really no way to know for sure what you’re getting until pretty close to fall.

Does anyone know if taking classes Pass/Fail this semester will nullify them as transferable credits for A&M? My university is currently considering the option of offering the option in the wake of this pandemic and I was wondering how it could affect my credits. Thanks!

They want gradeable credits but Tamu just went to S/U if the student chooses to so I think in light of this, they will be counted. And just FYI transfer credit would count regardless it’s just whether or not it goes towards the 24 graded credits to be eligible for transfer.

Call and speak to someone in admissions to verify though since all of this is unprecedented. I just feel like everyone will be given more leeway than before.

Just got off the phone with someone at admissions and they said that they’re most likely going to prefer that you have a definitive grade for your spring semester courses (if you haven’t completed the required 24 hours of graded course work) Kind of unfortunate.

How many credit hours maximum can we transfer to TAMU from community college? My major is Mechanical Engineering if it helps. I will have 55 credits on the transcript after spring 2020, and I am planning to take about 12 more over the summer. I am afraid that if I get rejected this Fall 2020 and have to reapply for the spring of 2021, I will have more than 67 credits and they will reject me for having to many credits? do we have to finish a certain amount of credit to get a bachelor’s degree?
@AggieMomhelp thank you
