4.0 GPA
Applying for Mays
Major in Finance
A’s in all required courses
A in recommended course (MGMT 211)
66 credit hours (48 done in dual credit)
Phi Theta Kappa member
Chancellor’s Scholar
2 Letters of Recommendation (I know they aren’t viewed for admission but they were too good not to submit)
Top 10% of my HS class in 2019 but didn’t apply to TAMU because I was in a different financial situation
Lots of volunteer hours
What do you think?
Very good stats! I’d say you have admission on lock
Has anyone’s transcript been processed?
Not yet…anxiously waiting.
When A&M sends you your transfer audit, do they use that in the review process or do they just look at the official transcript?
I would assume it will confirm you have met the requirements for classes but not sure beyond that. Did you get your audit? If so, how long from when they were fully processed to when the audit was complete?
Only one of my transcripts have been processed and it is my high school one… I know it takes awhile but I am so impatient haha
@AggieDreamin i didn’t, transcript still being processed. Was just a curious question.
Looking at last year’s thread, it appears that transfer audits won’t be posted until early to mid February
Transcript was finally processed for me
hey guys do I need to have 24 hours completed prior to applying?
I will have 30 hours completed at the end of this semester but only have 15 completed as of right now.
I’m assuming it won’t fly since I need to send in transcripts though right?
If it means anything, I’m PTA -AGEcon
@icantanymore you can still apply. Are you following the transfer plan for the major you want to transfer into? Very important to have or be enrolled in the Required classes. If they think your GPA looks good and is competitive and you are taking required classes in the Spring they may just defer you to hold for Spring grades.
@AggieDreamin Yeah I’ve got a 4.0 right now, and I’m fairly confident I can maintain that this semester too. I’ve completed the first half of required coursework for PTA, and am working on the second half right now.
I just wasn’t sure if I was supposed to apply this way given my 24 hours aren’t officially in yet. Thank you so much!
@icantanymore Oh, are you doing PTA? Did you have the required meeting with your PTA advisor and sign the agreement last summer? If so, they should be able to advise you on how to handle. I do think you still apply now but not sure if there are any other steps that need to be done to meet all the requirements for PTA because they are different from straight Transfer requirements.
got my audit this morning!
@evanpivirotto that was quick! Still waiting for them to process.
@evanpivirotto I’m curious what’s changed? Did your yellow pending and incomplete status change?
Yesterday my transcript processed (went from yellow to green) and this morning my AIS said “view transfer audiot” which told me to go onto Howdy and i was able to access my audit
Same here! Audit report is available through Howdy
