TAMU FALL 2020 TRANSFER ADMISSIONS

Howdy! I am transferring into the the Human Resources program in the fall, I have 42 hours and a 3.2 gpa and all my required coursework completed with A’s and B’s. What are my chances of getting accepted?

Decent gpa. What’s the minimum? Sounds like you have a good chance. Great program. Keep us posted.

The minimum gpa is 2.5. Thank you and I will!

@rdbu12 I just checked on it. 2.75 or higher is preferred. Plus the required courses: Math 140 and 142; 2 sciences with labs (8 credits total for that) and then an english course… typically 104.

So a total of 17 credits is desirable (above) plus another 7 graded credits which you obviously have with 42 hours.

Looks promising!

@AggieMomhelp On AIS it says “View Transfer Audit” but when I try to look at it on Howdy it says there are no audits available at this time. Is that weird or normal? It may just be because it is a Saturday but was just curious.

Go to your howdy instead. Look under manage application tab. Degree audit should be there.

@AggieMomhelp Do you have ANY IDEA if offered PSA, can you start that in Summer sessions I & II at TAMU CS…or Rellis? Slow start with hours…then in Fall & Spring complete the 24 hours, and apply in Fall at TAMU CS?

I’ll have to look at that. But rellis is blinn campus and is separate app. It hasn’t been a part of psa since 2 year campus.

And I’m not sure what psa rules are for doing any schooling before fall. Is there a reason you wouldn’t just want to do blinn for summer and fall to get 24 graded credits and then apply as a regular transfer? How many dual credit hours do you have.

@2NDGENAGGIE again from website…

’ the opportunity to enroll in a Texas A&M system school for one year’
PSA is an admissions pathway to start in Fall 20. You need to complete a Fall then Spring semester.

Hi there! I got my transfer audit, 4.0 last semester, but a 3.85 on audit combined with HS dual credit courses, going in with 39 hours. I have all of the required course work done and am in progress for the recommended course work. First choice is communication in school of liberal arts and next is university studies in school of liberal arts. What do yall think? Fingers crossed!

@lrob00 You have an excellent chance! Let us know when you find out.

Once transfer application is completed in ApplyTexas, my daughter will be put in review until her spring transcript is received. Can she change her major in the Howdy portal until the end of the semester or is it locked in with the application?

Ok strange question…my DD called and asked why her Change of Major was gone. I tend to think it was never there for transfers but can any of you confirm or show that they in fact have Change if Major? I think she is paranoid because last year for Freshman admissions that meant PSA.

@AggieDreamin mine is the same way. It may just be because they are already reviewing our applications or something. I have no idea though but that is how I took it. I don’t think she needs to stress over it!

I received my audit on 02/02/2020. I am applying for Mays Business School. It says 66 transferable hours and 4.0 GPA. I am really hoping I get in. Now the dreadful waiting process begins

@Hannh8 Do you recall if it was ever there? But agree it likely isn’t consequential.

@AggieDreamin it was because I remember accidentally clicking on it and freaking out because I thought I had messed it up!

Hello, I currently have a 3.56 GPA and I am planning to transfer for applied mathematical sciences. I thought I had a really good shot of getting in, before this past fall semester I had a 3.7 GPA but unfortunately, my grades dropped due to a death in the family of a close relative. I have so far made an A in one of the required courses but made a C in the other one. I’m also a member of phi theta kappa, I’m not sure if that even looks good on a transfer application but hopefully, it will help me out a bit. I was wondering if anybody knew what my chances would be of getting in.

My change of major button is also gone and I definitely remember it being there! Also paranoid because I also receieved PSA last year after it was removed last year

@evanpivirotto Even though I asked the initial question, I really don’t believe it is the same thing. Only speculating but since these apps are reviewed by the departments and not general admissions I suspect they remove that option since your app is sent to the department for review. So hopefullly all it means is we are closer to a decision ?
