TAMU Holistic review candidates Class of 2022

Just chatted with admissions, they said “more TEAM/Gateway decisions to come.” Asked if they are currently full and the answer was a flat no.

To everyone asking, I do not think they have started sending out PSA yet, I have not heard of anyone receiving PSA yet. But she was a reliable source, there is still always a chance if things open up. My brother got engineering blinn team program 2 years ago when he applied but a couple weeks after he was told it was the blinn team program, he actually ended up getting full admission to engineering. Nothing is ever set in stone until the first day of class. Also full admission is NOT full yet (some majors are much not all are) so you still have a chance if your major is not full. Hope this helps!

Why do they always seem to give a different answer? Very confusing!!!

Thank you for the encouraging words @aggiebabyboymom ! We are trying to stay positive !

Steve from the chat site said more decisions are to come. Didn’ specify whether blinn team, gateway, or full admit.

I get Steve every time, lol.

How are y’all able to chat with them? I’d love to ask them some questions.

@Kuehne410 This is the link to live-chat with admissions: http://appmr-whoson.as.tamu.edu/chat/chatstart.aspx?domain=admissions.tamu.edu

I just talked to Steve online and he said that Blinn TEAM and Gateway are not full. This gave me a little more hope!

We attended the Aggieland Saturday session for Blinn Team/Engineering Academy on 2/10/18 and one of the speakers told us they offered about 800 spots for Blinn Team this and he said this was less than previously years. I don’t know what was previously offered. I remember this because I was sitting next to my son’s friend when the speaker said the number and I nudged her because initially she was not happy because she did not get a direct admit but after he made that statement, she said she was grateful for what she had received.

Wow 800? I thought they offered 2000 last year?

On their website it says they offered about 4,000 Blinn Team spots. http://admissions.tamu.edu/freshman/profile

I just spoke with Steve and i specifically asked if Blinn Team and gateway offers were all out and he said no. He also said there would be about the same amount of people receiving those offers as last year. It makes sense because if everything had filled up the rest of us waiting would’ve already received our psa or rejection by now.

That’s for the class of 2018. We are the class of 2022 :frowning:

@tyra2k8 those stats are for the Aggie graduating class of 2018.

I am glad to hear that Blinn TEAM and Gateway offers are still going to come out. Best of luck to those still waiting to hear!

If you look at CC TAMU Class of 2021 - it lists the stats from last year. I believe that is where I saw it.

The graphic for the website above is for the 2014-2015 admit year.

For Fall 2017, it is my understanding that there were 2400 Blinn TEAM spots offered and about 1052 students enrolled in Blinn-TEAM for Fall 2017.

I don’t have the numbers for Blinn Enigineering at Bryan for Fall 2017 but think the offers were less than 1000.

Could the speaker have been referring Blinn-TEAB (Blinn Engineering at Bryan) instead of Blinn-TEAM?

I’ve been following this for a while now. Starting to get very impatient as every one of my son’s friends has gotten in but him! His AIS is still ‘under review’ and nothing has changed - he applied on 8-29.

Thoughts on his acceptance/nonacceptance?

You know Admissions… especially Steve is so tired of hearing from us, lol… That should motivate them to send out the remaining offers STAT.

Make sure when you ask that you aren’t using the word “full” on Team and Gateway. They are definitely not full because not everyone has accepted offers. However, the real question is if more offers are coming for these 2 categories. I wonder if they are waiting to see how many accept before sending out more?? Possible since last year more people accepted all admission decisions then they were counting on (which is why fewer are going out this year-per reliable source).

Just keep in mind… decisions are not our fate, just part of the journey.
