http://www.blinn.edu/expansion/RELLIS-overview-update-2-2017.pdf Check out that link. I don’t know much but from what i understand it’s a campus of A&m in bryan that is partners with blinn. Apparently it allows students a seamless transition into Tamu. They have a wide variety of majors offered as well. Their Twitter is @relliseducation

Just called Admissions. Taylor said they hope to have everything out by “Mid-March”. . . . seriously? :open_mouth:

I like how we went from late February to early March and now mid March

RELLIS sounds a combination of Blinn TEAM & PSA??

From the FAQ’s on Blinn.edu/RELLIS
“The new campus will allow (Blinn) students to transfer seamlessly to leading universities throughout The Texas A&M System located at the RELLIS Campus.”

“An education center will offer four-year degrees to students not admitted to Texas A&M University through affiliations with other universities in The Texas A&M System“

Not affiliated with TAMU…just with the system schools…but students get to be in Aggieland!

Just talked with Sarah. She told me that Engineering is really full, all majors.

I really hope my second choice isn’t full either.

Crossed fingers.

No majors in Engineering just yet as freshmen. All general eng. And no worries if 2nd choice is full, they will accept you then ask you to choose new major. Keep fingers crossed tho… never hurts.

@Thelma2 Do you have a count of how many on this thread are still waiting for an answer? Thank you in advance!

I’m wondering how engineering can be full. It seems you just take the basic core classes and don’t even declare your “major” until sophomore year. I’m pretty frustrated with the process and the varying answers everyone is getting from admissions. There is no consistency and quite frankly I feel like they are floundering a bit at this point. My son has Mechanical and Civil Engineering as his major choices. He’s not a superstar, but a good student. 3.75 GPA which puts him int the 2nd quarter at his high school. 1250 SAT no ACT. 4 year varsity Golf player, captain for 2 years. Some AP classes, probably not enough. I’m just shocked that he hasn’t at least received an offer for Blinn Engineering or Galveston. I do not expect a full admit to CS, but seems like one of the other offers would have happened by now. Or, a rejection. We put a housing deposit down yesterday at his second choice because it’s looking pretty grim right now for Blinn or full admit. He would probably turn down Galveston and take his second choice at UTSA.

I have the same stats, quartile, and major. I understand it takes them a long time to review everybody, but they shouldn’t be promising us these deadlines when decisions will be made because they haven’t been met yet. First it was December, then January, then Mid-Febuary, then before March, and now its Mid-March… I wish they would just send out their decisions like they say so we can start planning the future accordingly. But whatever, just gotta stay positive I guess!

Yes. If it weren’t for the need to try to pre-arrange housing as early as possible pretty much wherever a student would want to go, this wait would be more acceptable. As it is, school starts in another six months. On top of that, the original admission scheduling was very different from what it is turning out to be, and there was no commitment to meet any certain date(s) after the original schedule was dropped. Everyone here understands your frustration. And there are a number of students here who may not have a parent able to help them figure out what to do in this kind of uncertainty. I think that’s why many of us parents are still monitoring and trying to help.

And I feel very fortunate that we are able to put that deposit down on a risk of losing it if TAMU comes through. There are folks who just can’t be doing that. I can’t imagine that frustration going along with all of this. My son Really wanted to go to Tech and he would have been much closer to an academic admit there. Unfortunately, after we took that drive up there last summer he changed his mind. Glad he decided then that it was too far and not the 1st week of freshman year, lol. He knows that TAMU is a long shot for him which is why he applied and got accepted at UTSA first before he applied to A&M. Need that solid backup.

Does anyone remember if any decisions posted after hours on Friday or weekends or is it more likely weekdays? Not that anything is typical, but would just want to know so I can stop checking so frequently or at least try over the weekend but I’m sure will check several times;)

@boysarebest what did your son not like about Tech? We are going next week and my son is thinking he might like it. He also liked UTSA.

No news here today. My daughter’s chosen major is Human Resource Development/ Liberal Arts as backup.

today i was admitted but my location says mcallen instead of college station? i applied for college station. what does this mean?

@CyMom4 He really liked the campus but wasn’t crazy about Lubbock. It was the distance from home that he really didn’t like. We’re just outside of Houston so it’s about an 8 hour drive.

@MominPlano

Review Applicants still waiting on decisions (or have not come back to report a decision) is 81 applicant’s who have posted on this forum. Some have not posted their stats though.

For engineering, there are 43 who have not reported a decision/still waiting.

@boysarebest We are outside of Houston as well. I’m not looking forward to the drive next week. I’m just ready for a final answer so we can plan. This was way harder than I thought it would be.

@Thelma2 do you have stats on how many from this site have been accepted?
