TAMU Holistic review candidates Class of 2022

I just got admitted in the higher education center at McAllen but I applied specifically for college station, pretty bummed out after waiting for so long for at least Blinn TEAM

@Thelma2 Do you need any other stats from us or other members? Thank you for tracking all of the info and for your time.

You need anything else from us as well? I appreciate all that you do in keeping us informed; THANKS!!

Same here Thelma, still waiting …

Called TAMUG this pm and talked to Eduardo. He said those offered the Eng’g at Galveston are fully admitted to Dwight Look College of Engineering in CS. They will finish one year in GV. If GPA is good they move to CS with their 1st choice of major. If not so good, TAMU will see where the student will fit to the 2nd, 3rd, 4th major the student pre-selected. March is a major event in TAMUG, just for engineering students. Eduardo said to attend the March 22 then decide if if TAMUG is where your student will go then do the housing reservation.

We are still debating between TAMUG and UT Dallas. Anyone here who are also considering UT Dallas for engineering or computer science majors? Regards

@CyMom4 Just FYI

@FourR Yes my son is considering both Galv Engineering or UT Dallas (there are a couple other schools but I think these are the front runners) - we are visiting Galv next week, and if he’s still unsure we will make plans to visit UT Dallas asap. Now if he gets a good scholarship from one of the other two (UH or TX State), it might cause us to look at them again, but they are not as highly rated for Computer Science.

Thank You @babymomma and @MominPlano @aghopeful420 I have everything from you all. There are quite a few I do need but I am not home right now. I will make a post in the morning and tag everyone I still need!

I do have the accepted ones marked on the spreadsheet. I’ll list those numbers as well.

@Thelma2 Thank u for the help! Do you know anyone in TAMU who will guide about the housing system there(on or off campus). I have been selected for engineering at College Station

@mojojojo23 My daughter is also coming from India but she is a US citizen.

admitted into Iowa state engineering and been offered a large scholarship.

But want so badly to be an Aggie corps of cadet .

@mojojojo23 Congratulations on your admissions to College Station.

Have you filled out the housing application yet? If not, you need to do that as soon as possible. The deadline for you is in 6 days. Applicants who apply after 30 days from their admissions date will go to the back of the line, and people accepted today, who fill out their housing application between today and March 24, will now be ahead of you for housing. Get that done soon. It’s $75 for the housing application. You have to select three dorm preferences. They have you select three, in the event you do not log in on your specified window for dorm selection. Then, they will place you and those preferences give them a guide to the type you prefer and the price point.

I will make a thread about engineering housing, because it is long, and I don’t want the information to get buried here.

Thank You @WWOODS1 for the stats

@Thelma2 Oh thanks since I got my admission on Jan 30th I will have to look into it

I guess I won’t check the site again til Monday. Unless someone has received an email or notice of admission over the weekend before. Lol

@Thema Do you know if there is any bus or shuttle that runs from Blinn Bryan to TAMU? Or do students have to drive?

@debrajohn Yes there is a bus. Route 12. It runs every 15 mins from Tamu. I think either from the MSC or Trigon( am not sure which). I can ask my daughter and let you know

Stats please. Feel free to PM me if you would rather. Also if you have received a decision, to what campus and when.
@boysarebest @jjuulliissaaa @paag1234 @ddt872 @helloitsmeagain @cottoncandy1 @mamma3g @AggieMomx2 @shiver17 @jsche18 @Curryinvasion2 @eemilyyyy1 @Tayleighb @tcas1221 @next224 @texasperson @Sscard @hsgrad18 @mbwckcmb @mewles @kwalters @anna78 @AnimalLover445

@ddt872 The PSA campuses are at the discretion of A&M to which they offer. However, the way it seems to have been in the past, is that you are offered the campuses where you would be considered an Automatic admit. Some will qualify for all campuses and some only one.

https://www.tarleton.edu/admissions/undergrads/freshman.html

A backup plan would be to apply to Tarleton by March 1 and then transfer to College Station. You would need to follow the curriculum transfer path for the major to make sure you had everything required completed.

@cottoncandy1, all,

I have 165 Review Applicants who have posted. 22 I have no, or incomplete stats for. Of the 165, 74 have reported an admissions decision.

Engineering, I have 132 applicants. 4 of those reported a decision but have not provided stats, 5 were auto/academic admits who reported no decision, 10 of those have no stats or decision. That leaves 107 applicants posting who have provided stats and have received or are waiting on decisions. 20 of those 107 are still waiting on decisions.
