@mamadmr My son was accepted to TAMU back in September and it was a few weeks before he received his banner.
My son was accepted to Blinn TEAM on 2/8 and he got his package with the acceptance letter and banner one week later and we are in Austin.

Nothing new - (sigh)
Nothing here either
Did A&M give a specific date as to when all applicants will receive a decision?
@houstonsth I wish. All we’ve been told is that all decisions will be sent out by mid-March.

@mamadmr my daughter to got accepted to Gateway on 2/15/2018. It’s my understanding that they do get the banner, but we have not yet received anything. Would love to have my daughter connect with you daughter. Were from California, so she will be coming to CS not knowing anybody.
Our friend who applied in dec was accepted to galveston eng . We were told by the admissions that it could be till april 1 before decisions are out. (dont know if that is totally true sigh).

I say screw TAMU at this point. The way they handle their admissions is a joke, dragging this out for these awesome kids. My D has been accepted to every school she applied to (OU, Baylor, TCU, TTU) with 29 ACT and top 20% of “VERY competitive HS” My wife is an Aggie, and my D is still hoping for Blinn Team…but I’m so pissed at the admissions process.
@gsueaglefan All the schools you named are great schools, in fact I’m a Baylor alum and would have loved for my son to go there! However, both UT and Texas A&M are highly ranked schools. As I mentioned in an earlier post I have an additional degree from UT and my husband is a UT grad. I can honestly say that UT doesn’t really look at anything but rank and scores. I think this process is so drawn out because of Harvey, as well as the fact that Texas A&M does actually look at the student and what they have to offer. Grades and SAT/ACT scores do not make the person. I agree, waiting is very stressful, but having read posts from the more informed people on this forum, I think this year is unusual due to Harvey and the large number of students that applied. Hang in there!
