I can’t imagine why they would keep us waiting, but there’s nothing I can do. I’ll just wait like everyone else.

Wish they would just let us know if we were rejected so we could make other plans …
@AggieHopeful1 We visited SHSU but didn’t apply. She was accepted to SFA, Baylor, U of Ark, OSU, and UNT.

The people answering the phone are just trying to pacify the 10K caller, not thinking the convo is being posted for the world to read. The answers for the masses come from Aggie Bound. Ask on Twitter.
Posting the contradicting convo’s has not added positively to any discussion and only seems to cause more distress and anxiety.
For A&M, decisions are not late for a few more hours. March 1 has always been the decision date. Just FYI, there are still a lot of applicants waiting on TCU as well as other highly competitive schools.
@AggieHopeful1 nope didn’t apply anywhere local to our metroplex dfw. Sometimes i think maybe we should have looked at baylor but at that price point midas well go back east.
@mamma3g Baylor has a free application and is my alma mater. They have merit based scholarships if it’s not too late. It’s a wonderful school!

Sam Houston Bearkat here (my son wanted nothing to do with anywhere either of his parents went). But it’s a great school!! My nieces are there.
@babymomma When I stated March 1 has always been the decision date, I was referencing that that has been the published date for decisions since the application process opened in July. They changed it after winter break at some point, to read mid to late March.
I have no idea when decisions will be released and won’t speculate.

@soccer19310 You have no reason to apologize. People are on this board to share information. If people don’t want to read what others are being told they can stay off the board. I personally am interested in hearing what others are being told via chat, email and on the phone.
@soccer19310 you did not offend me and I doubt you or anyone else offended anyone with posting what you have been told. My point was that TAMU admissions doesn’t have their act together as far as communications and in recognizing that I think it is mostly pointless to dissimante information from an unreliable source. People can most certainly post whatever they wish, I just wouldn’t put any stock in it. I deal with politicians and the press on a regular basis and if i or my team disseminated Information in the fashion that tamu is I would lose all my clients.
Good night all! Really disappointed to be heading into Friday with no decisions this week:( We registered my son today for his Baylor orientation, I think we all have reason to remain hopeful but should absolutely have a plan B in the works at this point.

@soccer19310 No worries at all. You didn’t offend and were not out of line at all. You just happened to be the last post about screwy admissions and I apologize that it came off directed at you. That was not my intention. I know you are waiting on a decision like everyone else and are up to your ears in ready to have this done and over with.
As Trinley said, you may post whatever you like, as can anyone (caveat: as long as it doesn’t violate TOS) I think she said it much more eloquent than I.
Agree with TXMom2018 - remain hopeful but the student’s plan B should be focused on at this point. We have signed up for orientation , housing and (as of last night) freshman camp at our backup school.
