Question for those doing engineering: if not admitted, who intends to apply to Blinn Brenham or ACC engineering academy? We live in Austin but will encourage him to go to Brenham as his commute to the ACC Campus will be 45mintes - 1 hour every day if rush hour.he has applied to both
no change. quite a few of d friends have heard nothing or a handful have gotten rejection letters. I guess the howdy update occurs at midnight right? So no more updates till possibly sunday now? boo.

I don’t think so. I have been told many times, consistently, that you are accepted into the university first and then your major. If your majors are full you will be given options of other colleges not full.

@mamma3g I don’t know if there is a certain time that the 6 tabs appear in Howdy because my son was an academic admit and I didn’t really pay attention to that, but the day before his AIS showed his acceptance to engineering his major changed in Howdy around 3 or 4 in the afternoon.
@trinley The Blinn-Brenham engineering academy is having a preview day on Friday, March 9. You may already know about this, forgive this note if you have. They have sent out parking pass, schedule, etc., and could no doubt send this packet to you as well if you call them. Would your son theoretically prefer to live away from home or commute? This is a big factor for a lot of students.
Daughter and 2 friends have heard nothing. 1 friend got Gateway and 2 others got full acceptance awhile ago. We will talk to her when she gets back to see if she wants to put deposit down on U of Ark.
Funny, just asked chat line if any decisions come out today by out today and Joseph said he doesnt know, just check AIS. At least he’s truthful.

i think one of the hardest things about this process is having parents that didn’t go through it. they don’t understand that my scores have an impact on my decision and how low my scores are in comparison to the average for tamu. they don’t understand that housing gets taken elsewhere and just because i am admitted that they aren’t going to hold a place for me. they don’t understand. so, i am stuck in the middle of waiting for a decision that i don’t expect to be in my favor just to show them. i have no backup in place because they refuse to pay for it without having a tamu decision.i don’t have the money, i am not allowed to have a job because they want me to focus on school. it is a frustrating place to be in…
@TXagghopeful1 Have you thought about applying to a no-application-fee school to give yourself a good backup? Or are you in a financial situation where you could get a waiver for fees? Do you have a backup plan in mind?
i have a backup school to go to, my parents just won’t pay the orientation fee without knowing the situation with tamu.
@TXagghopeful1 You will find out something from A&M pretty soon, and you should have time to schedule the backup school orientation if you need to. You should still have time to get housing there if needed, too, although it may not be in the dorm. Have you mentioned to your parents that waiting may mean that housing will be more expensive (if it will)?

amazon gift card pop ups that make me have to close up and come back in and few seconds it pops up again. It only happens on this website though. Only happens on phone. Just curious if happening to anyone else. My computer guy says it probably is something about the website so thought I might ask if anyone else having issue…

@paag1234 not now, but several weeks ago I had spam pop up repeatedly saying I had to fix a virus. I just closed out the site.
