On my son’s AIS page it still has a “REQUEST A MAJOR CHANGE” button but not on “manage applications” tab…what does this mean???

Typically howdy updates before AIS. Never seen it simultaneous. If this is an indicator of a PSA decision, it’s the first I’ve heard of on this site from years past. So hang tight. Hopefully it’s a glitch and not PSA.
Is the CHANGE MAJOR button gone for everyone on AIS and MANAGE APPLICATIONS?

From the chat site regarding the vanishing change of major button. They asked for my son’s UID #
“A decision has not been made to date. our department discourages an change of major this late date”
I remember reading something about the withdraw button disappearing on a previous year holistic review page …
It is gone on my daughter’s page as well. I am just excited that hopefully we will finally know something soon, but for what it is worth my daughter’s major is not offered through PSA

What if I’m not interested in one of the participating majors (i.e., Business)?
The PSA was designed for students who are interested in a participating major. We never recommend using the PSA to be admitted to TAMU with the intention of switching to the major you really want. We recommend taking the coursework and making the grades for your intended major and then applying as a standard transfer student directly to your intended major. You can still attend a System Institution (or any other institution), but you will have to apply as a regular transfer and go through a competitive review process.
I would guess that it means they are getting ready to wind this up, one way or another. Good luck to all!

Can you be offered PSA if no other TAM schools offer your major?
@Stimmer64 Yes, they will ask you to choose a major from the list of participating majors . Business is not a choice.
What if the System Institution doesn’t have my intended major?
The major choice at the System Institution does not matter. All that matters is that the System Institution will allow you to take the courses you need for your intended major at TAMU.
So psa is like being capped st UT?
Is it better to accept a PSA offer? Does that make it easier to transfer to CS than if my sons attended UTSA for a year? His major is going to be engineering and he was accepted to Engineering at UTSA. To me, it makes more sense to take that and transfer to TAMU after his first year if he wants to. Otherwise, it will probably be Tarleton.
