Does anyone know when agriculture and life science should get there decision.
@matthewg2477 My daughter is a Biochemistry major that successfully transferred this semester. She was one of the last applicants to be accepted - so I’m not sure if it’s specific to major within the college but I know that biochemistry took forever. Edited to add that she applied beginning September and wasn’t accepted until 12/6 with a LOT of applicants to other colleges in Sept, Oct & Nov.
What major?
I applied to Human Resource Development. 3.84 GPA, member of Phi Theta Kappa. Do you think I have a good shot?
@student214415315 Yes, assuming you have completed all of the required coursework. You have an excellent shot with that GPA.
Gotcha! I haven’t taken one of the required Math courses, does that blow my entire chance?
@Novelica If I did I would for sure tell you. Donutworry about it lol. Try check older forums and see when engineering transfers get accepted. I noticed EE which is my major get a decision around march 14th
Applied 2/9 and received transfer audit 2/21. 24 credits and 3.6 GPA. Anyone know the time frame between when you receive your audit and hearing back about a decision?
@student214415315 Is that class in progress? If in progress, they will most likely defer you. If you aren’t in it, then they could possibly deny you since it does say “required” not recommended.
Has anyone been accepted, not deferred, in the major Human Resource Development in the college of education? I know a couple of people got deferred and some of my friends got declined. I am still under “in review”. I am just wondering. Thank you
@student214415315 I got denied today because I didn’t have one of the math courses. I’m an out of state student so some of my classes don’t transfer to the same equivalent as tamu.
@emd931 I’m so sorry to hear about that. Also this is part of the email I just got a few minute ago from the Admission
“When course do not transfer as direct equivalents it will be up to the department that you have applied into to decide whether they can use those credits or not. When they look at your application they will make that call and if they admit that means that they are willing to substitute those courses and make them equivalent to the TAMU courses. You will not find this out until the final decision is made, so you will have to wait until then.”
I have a bunch of important classes are not transferred directly to TAMU, but my app is still under review TT
Do you have your 2nd choice?
Got letter yesterday saying deferred for spring grades because I only have 19 hours
@astros41 I think all is going to be okay for comm. I’m trying to do journalism so the fact it isn’t a straight denial now seems to be positive
Well I got a transfer dent letter because I do not have 24 hours but it says I have an additional opportunity for fall 2019 if I send my spring grades so I’m assuming it’s a letter of deferral
Transfer deny*
@Curryinvasion2 mine last year was a transfer deny letter but it’s a deferral letter!
@iwannabeanaggie8 I went back and looked at your post record, it looked like you got your Audit on 02/07 then your tabs 12 days later on 02/19 correct? Trying to make a guess at when I might hear something…
Any engineering majors get a transfer decision yet?
@poundman nope not yet
