@AggieMomhelp It wasn’t the tabs, I received an email from my advisor that said “I wanted to be the first to congratulate you on your academic achievement. I submitted your name today for immediate transfer admission to Texas A&M University for Fall 2019”.He said that it would update in AIS soon and “Welcome to Aggieland!”
Wow that’s even better. Congrats!!!
So…I’ve already been accepted into A&M and my NSC is on June 6th. It had totally slipped my kind until this week to send in my shot record. Now I’m being held up by my doctors office taking a long time to reach back to me with the documentation. I need this shot record in order to register for classes and it’s recommended to have sent this document at least 2-4 weeks before your NSC. I still haven’t even received it, am I totally screwed registration wise? I know how long it takes A&M to process stuff like this. I have submitted a version of my shot record that is unsigned by my physician which I had access to online, but have not submitted the immunization record that A&M provides to be filled out. I’m worried I won’t be able to get my classes when I go up to c-stat in about two weeks. I do know this is my fault for procrastinating and forgetting
@gigem17 I have heard Med+Proctor Meningitis needs to be received 2 weeks prior to NSC. If I were you. I’d go in person to the doctor office and ask to speak to the head nurse or office manager, explaining the situation.
With Monday being a Memorial Day, I think it’s pretty urgent you get the forms signed & submitted tomorrow.
This must be re this year. For my son last year I uploaded his online record.
Has anyone from the College of Education who got deferred heard back on acceptance yet?
@kew025 howdy! I am also deferred for the College of Ed. and have not heard anything back yet.
@AggieHopeful21 are you in review or do you still have a red x for your transcripts in AIS? Mine have been received but I still have an x.
@kew025 I’m currently under review, but I still have a red x for transcript. My transcript is also marked as received but I don’t know if it’s because the transcript I sent is not categorized as my “final” transcript. I am registered for a summer course so the transcript I sent is to show my spring grades instead of it being final. Have you received your audit?
I talked to admissions and they told me I should be fine with having submitted my online shot record to Med+Proctor since I have already got an email stating that the document was received. She also told me that if it hasn’t processed by NSC that I can just call them to have the hold removed so I can register. I hope she’s right…
@AggieHopeful21 I haven’t gotten an updated audit yet, so I am waiting on that as well. They received my transcripts on 5/16 and 5/20 so I thought it would be updated as far as the red x by now, but I’m not sure what the hold up is. Have you gotten your audit?
@kew025 I also haven’t received my audit. But I called admissions and they said that they received my transcript on the 20th. But it takes 2-3 weeks to process a transcript into their system. They also said that they’re receiving an influx of transcripts from transfers, and that I will be awhile before I receive an official decision. But overall not to worry about the red x because the transcript is received and still being processed. Supposedly, the red x is more of a indicator of process.
Admissions advised to continuously check AIS every other day for progress but to just sit tight and wait for a notification to come by mid-late June.
@AggieHopeful21 wow, that’s longer than I have been told. I hope things don’t take that long.
@kew025 I agree. Hopefully sooner rather than later. Good luck, I hope you get in.
@kew025 @aggiehhopeful21 my major is HRDL in the college of education and human development. All of my documents have been received and ive had check marks for everythinh for about a week and a half now and still no decsion
@AggieHopeful21 Thank you! I hope you get in as well:)
Hey guys, I just wanted to let everyone know that I attended the first NSC this past week, and that if anyone has any questions about it then feel free to ask!
@AggieMomhelp Hey is it possible to change your major once you’ve been accepted? :S
@EVSLOVE You have to wait until after at least one semester so that you have an A&M GPA for the major to look at.
@EVSLOVE like McKenna said, you have to wait at least one semester. Every major has different change of major requirements so look at that to make sure you take the right classes in the fall. Also, they don’t like transfer students doing this without a good reason.
What are you changing from and what are you wanting to change to?
