Tasp 2007

A-San: to self-study economics, a lot of people say the Economics textbook by David C. Colander is really useful. I’m using that and good old Cliffs Notes’ “Economics: Micro and Macro” to get me through the AP test.

Seriously, application results are coming soon :/

No lie here…I had a dream last night that I got a Telluride e-mail congratulating me on getting an interview. Only problem was, I kept wondering why this was coming in February.

Then I woke up. Sadly, 'twas only a dream.

But is it a forebearer of what’s to come? Now, that, my friends, is the question. Anyone else have a potentially psychic dream, or am I the big loser here that DREAMS of academic accomplishments?

I dreamed I was flying to WashU for TASP…then on the plane, I realized I never got a letter telling me if I had gotten in or not…then I woke up

Then I dreamed that I met my factota…and it was my physics teacher…hahaha

well, last year, interview notifications and rejections were mailed out on March 3rd, so that leaves a little under three weeks! EEP!

on that note about TASP apps, now that they are over, who will fess up? who used past class essays (or any other essay you already had written) for one of the TASP prompts?

I like how you have it down to a T.

March 3rd. 3:37pm EST. For sure

3:37? I didn’t know that part. anyone have the guts to email someone at telluride and ask when exactly it will be this year?

^ haha, he was kidding I think.

Your slipping Dandelion. :stuck_out_tongue: How is the weather up north? (Are you not the one who moved to Washington/Oregon from the Bay area)

The 3:37 was not true.

I will admit i never confirmed my App. and I keep having these images of me calling and them being like we never got your application.

Haha, I WISH I could have used a past essay for TASP. But…no.

TASPplicants aren’t the average CCers, no: we’re by far the most procrastinating group of kids on the board.

I don’t think a single one of us sent out the application more than a day or two before the deadline. I, for one, send mine out on the day it was due.

I turn 18 in 26 days! =D

happy early birthday!

yeah, march third. i think it’ll be too nerve-wrecking to call. and having to hear the lady’s voice. “no, i’m sorry, but…”

I just completed an application for my ‘safety’ summer program.
I guess I fit the TASP procrastination standand because I waited so long to apply that I had to get the letter of recomendation in a single day from a teacher (luckily she was very nice about it) and tomorrow I am going to drive down and physically drop of the application at the office.

Happy early birthday!

I don’t turn 17 for several more months. ^^;;

And omg directorscut, I’m in the exact same situation for AP Comp Sci. I am so screwed, even for the A test. I’m a horrible programmer but can UNDERSTAND/READ most code. We don’t do anything in class either. Oh, and my teacher gives us a pass all year long and changes our grades to letter grades AFTER the AP test. So I have a lot to lose with the AP test…

Ptchaw. 26 days. My 17th is in a week :-D

Iris 18 almost. Woah.

18 + TASP + first-tier college+X=:-o

Only Variable, X, is acceptance. :-P

GL yall, off to youth commission meeting than Gas Stoichiometry and reading a 30+ page chapter in All Quiet on the Western Front.

16 in two months!
yes!
driving!
yes!

Gas stoichiometry! =D

I love that word. Stoichiometry. And you know, stoichiometry isn’t that hard. When I first started with the mole ratios I freaked out but then I grew to like it better. It’s…intuitive. Which I like. o_o;;

Yeah, I’m an oldster. But it’s all good; because I’m older I got to take six months off from March to September of 2006: I finished my sophmore year early…=O That was when I got my jeweler’s degree and worked at the NYPL.

stoichiometry. fun! is anyone here in ap chem?

is my school the only one that simply does not offer any AP classes?

self-studying-ish for comp sci, calc bc, and maybe one of the english ones is gonna be loads of fun

Me me me me me!! I adore stoichiometry, as well as chemistry in general.

I’m 17 in ten daysss.

And now I have pearl milk tea   :D

lol. I had pearls in a drink the other day and I swallowed them whole, found out that you aren’t suppose to eat them like that, you’re suppose to chew them, Hmmm.

Stoichiometry isn’t that bad but its the concept of doing a 5 page worksheet, ugh. Gas stoichiometry is worse too. Like you have to convert units and stuff (wow im lazy, don’t want to do simple things like mm HG to ATM or mL to L)
