topic
i guess michigan could be a pretty depressing place too
the reason ut’s pretty much up there with cornell is cause of location tho

hahaha… Michigan (the place) isn’t so depressing. But my mom cannot fathom why I would want to spend six weeks in St. Louis in the summer! Same with Texas.

texas is soooooo hot during the summer though

Okay I’m not reading the previous pages. I wish i could but I have paper due in about 40 minutes and I haven’t started it yet. >_<

in response to daenery’s question…

i still have an upcoming interview…the 21st =D

You might want to ask about that interview date. Aida said it’s to your disadvantage if the notes are sent after mid-april. =O

Nate:
when are you at Georgetown-- this school is so “you” I will PM you with details… Hopefully you come when the weather is nicer and will spend a night here in DC so you can take full advantage…

I doubt he is at a disadvantage because of when his interview was scheduled its sort of out of his control… That would suck if it was true though.

WHAT happened nobody wants michigan anymore. No TASS-TASP connections for me.

SUSAN GOOD LUCK!!! AHHHH AND WHY ARE YOU CHANGING MICHIGAN AS YOUR FIRST… Lol and yes hot asian girls not boys wink wink (yea A.S. was wrong-- hopefully he didnt jinx me since it was on Friday the 13th :-/)

Out to walk around in the rain…

SNAP.

Journalism convention <3

But so many pages to catch up on! Let’s see…

IIIIII still want Michigan! Tied for first choice. I didn’t know there were hot Asian people of any gender there… I’d be pleased if I were wrong.

Guess I didn’t miss too much :)

Hehe journo convention was heckaaa fun. Especially late night (actually, early morning) truth or dare :P

But “what happens in Denver stays in Denver,” apparently.

Lmao.

I think we’re all capable of awful prose! This is also an excellent source of discussion, if not substantial evidence, regarding the inverse relationship between over-dramatized prose and what’s defined as ‘good literature.’

TEXAS IS AMAZING.
There, a plug.

Lurkers are people too; here were my choices:

Does anyone know how likely you are to get your third choice or lower? Does the committee fill the seminars from the whole interview pool or do they choose the 86 they like the most first, and then sort those into seminars?

Cornell I

UT Austin

UWash

UMich (sorry)

Cornell II

alright, i just had mine. ummmm. it didn’t go horribly like i imagined last night (when my nerves took over), but i’d hesitate to call it “good”. they didn’t ask about the books (phew) but they did pose a lot of questions about religion and separation of church and state and i was like WHAT because i know absolutely nothing about religion. so i kind of winged it. and i repeated the same point like three times (circumlocution, anyone?) while they nodded and mmm’ed. and one guy forgot to show up or was sleeping in (the factotum) so i only had two interviewers: one who went to TASP in 2002 and the other who went in 1964 or whenever TASP became co-ed.

so yeah. two more weeks. gahhh.

hahaha… I had three interviewers too, only they all showed up. All sophomores in colleges-- two of them even went to the same TASP.

YAYY ROAM!!!

hesitating to call it good = it went very, very well. congratulations!! now comes the tough part…

Haha uber that was a funny link. I bet I could be a decent bad author (with all my parenthesis-ing and whatnot) (<- see?)

The tough part indeed :(

I’m sorry to break up the current conversation but I need help.

Where should i go on vacation this summer?

California.

And visit me. I can hook you up ;)

Haha not really. But still, I’d love to meet you :)

THE COTSWOLDS IN ENGLAND.

I went for two weeks last summer to hike and relax and it was AMAZING. I felt my soul recharge. Seriously.

yeah that would be awesome. The problem is my bro is coming over here to get away from california for a week. I understand that up where you live is totally different than L.A. but still, he wants to see rain.

i want to go to dubai. How awesome would that be. Or Tokyo. <3 My parents would never agree to that though. Maybe I can get them to say yes to a cruise that goes to both Athens and Rome. Or Egypt. Okay they would never say yes to egypt. I can always try though.

there’s no way i’m going to england for vacation. I can go there any time I want. I just realized this edit sounded really mean. Sorry about the tone of it.
