Tasp 2007

Seriously!

And now I’m all alone because I am one of the few people who currently have spring break :P

Which I should probably use to be productive, but instead I just sit in front of my computer, listening to music, and reading The Fountainhead on the side.

I’m on spring break too… and I’m having the same problem with productivity. I’ll be doing a math problem, and then three minutes later, I’ll get up to go find some formula I forgot, then I get totally sidetracked and end up baking cookies or something (true story).

Hehe.

I can relate entirely, Lauren. I love baking! Haha now you’ve inspired me…maybe I shall go and bake pretzels or something.

haha awesome. I want homemade pretzels!

Maybe I’ll make muffins later. haha

Dude. My mom is making me clean out my college mail, and I found my TASP interview notification letter. It made me nostalgic and I want TASP so badly again and I hate this feeling of wanting something so badly when I think I’m not going to get it.

I was fine until now…and then I saw the “TASP Acceptances” thread and it totally made it worse.

Hey Corey, I sent JK a thank you email, but she never responded. Did she respond to yours? (I’m totally in overanalyzation mode right now and fear that her not responding is a bad sign…that she feels bad for me and pities me and doesn’t want to respond because she sent TASP a “NO WAY, JOSE” about me.)

I can hear my heart beating :frowning: Now I can’t concentrate on cleaning my room…haha my TASP interview letter and (hopefully cross my fingers knock on wood find a four leaf clover throw salt over my left shoulder rub a rabbit’s foot throw a horseshow blow a dandelion blow out birthday candles blow away an eyelash) my TASP acceptance letter are going to be treasured forever. Possibly more than college acceptance letters. Wow. :frowning: I want it I want it RAWR. Stupid mother making me clean out my room.

Oh my gosh, I was going to ask you guys if we should send thank-you emails, but I totally forgot. Should I send it now, or is it too late? (I had the same interviewers as you guys, JK & company.)

haha, my mom is making me clean out the computer room today… why must our parents think of these ways to ruin the glorious freedom of spring break???

Seriously, silly parents.

I don’t think it really matters anymore, in terms of sucking up, since they probably already sent in their decisions.

HAHA JUST KIDDING. Sucking-up is for losers. Yeah, send one anyway, it’s just a nice courtesy :)

OK, I did.

Also, why was Corey interviewed by TASP participants, and not TASS participants? Are there not any in this area?

I think TASP and TASS are very similar, so it doesn’t really matter.

Your reason could also be applicable.

lalala quite a few people were interviewed by our interviewers… you, me, Corey, and this girl who goes to my school found me on Facebook and said she applied, and was also interviewed by them. I wonder how many others…

Wow, I thought it was just me you and Corey.

I wonder indeed how many more were…scares me a tad, that they have people to compare me to.

Haha.

haha nate!

I actually went back last night to edit that post and delete everything i said but it was already too late. sigh i guess it makes sense. one of the first times we spoke was while i watched cleopatra. It’s only fitting that we say our goodbyes while I’m watching it again.

I completely agree about CC being down. I had no clue what to do other than my homework. It was horrible.

What was your interviewer’s initials?

lmao Karen, actually I did the same thing. I was actually up until like 1:30 doing math homework for some very strange reason. I am most motivated late at night…

TI, I don’t know who you’re asking, but mine were JK, and she was accompanied by C and L.

L?

Whoa, I only had JK and C!

Weirddd…wait, they said something about him sleeping in or something…at 1 pm on a Sunday? Lol.

The Fountainhead is an AMAZING book. I love Ayn Rand. Atlas Shrugged is 10x better though.

lol L wasnt there for mine either.

TASP and TASS interviews are done by the same ppl.

The JKCL bunch did 7 interviews last year, but i dont know the TASS/TASP split. Also not all TAS-ers from the area do interviews, there is atleast 1 TASSer @ Stanford who doesnt do them.

Eww I have school tomorrow… And im really sad to be back in California.

I wonder if TASS kids get preferential treatment when applying to TASP or to live at the Teluride house? I know that TASP kids get special treatment when they apply for the house.

Heyy, guess what, JK responded to my thank-you note like two hours after I sent it :D

But I’m worried that she did because she feels sorry for me because she told them what a horrible candidate I would be :-/

I think the housing is awsome, more schools should get it though. I am not interested in any of the schools that have it.
