Tasp 2007

lol, tako!

We all will, just like I do now reading my old diary entries which were primarily filled with: Dear Diary, He LOOKED at me today. Oh my goodness, I think I’m in love with him!!! or Guess what he said to me today in 3rd period!? AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!, etc.

-_-;; I was SUCH a loser back then. :D

Heehee I never went through that phase (I think), thank goodness.

I did, however, go through a phase where I’d go around with my toy Pokeball pretending I was the next Pokemon master (and I’d challenge imaginary people…so I’d be yelling “I choose you, Eevee!” in the middle of the yard), so I’m not sure which one’s worse…

haha this is so funny!

You’re right about the internet thing. I wouldn’t have posted that story on this thread if it weren’t even somewhat ironic.

My friend just called me asking what I wanted for my birthday because apparently she was in a bookstore. I couldn’t come up with anything i didn’t have and everything she came up with I already have. >.< That was the longest convo I’ve ever had with someone in a bookstore. Come to think of it, I should really stop buying books and just take them out from the library. I work there after all =/

Dont worry about international status. There are 9 international TASPers this year. (Lower than past years) Test scores GPA and any other quantifiable data like that really has very little effect on TASP decisions, and also unlike college, International applications are no harder than state application.
Also you have a chance of getting an interview, there were people in Germany who got interviews. I know people in the Caribbean got interviews and others so don’t worry go for it!

EEek its scary that people are talking about TASP next year, that will be me. I think I will remove myself from CC next year though.

My aunt told me she had someone apply to be on her team and on his resume it said he was a Telluride alumnus, and she got all excited since she knew what it was because of me :-P

Karen you work at the library? SO LUCKY. I wish I could work (I can’t legally hold employment in the United States -_-) or volunteer in the library.

Unfortunately, my school is full of community service whores, and volunteering at many places is first come first serve. So I never get to volunteer at the library :frowning: because I’m a slow poke. We’ll see this fall; I’ll go and ask again. I really really really wish I lived near a bookstore…I’d spend 24/7 in there

And Corey that is HAWT. Haha  I wonder if next year’s TASPers will be like us…if I’ll be able to say Oh-that’s a roam, or oh-that’s Mintie or oh-that’s Dae. That would be cool  I don’t know, I just can’t imagine anybody so INTO it like we were. I feel as if we were special cases, and next year everybody’ll want TASP, but they won’t post 500 pages worth of randomness like us.

“Can’t believe I forgot. Inkspill eeee
She doesn’t come here anymore”

I’m here! I still read the thread occassionally, but dang, you guys move fast. LESS THAN ONE WEEK! Gahhhh so excited :P

lol for sure. Perhaps Tako will be the new Aida.

No way. I’ll be wayyyy hotter than Aida

(Aida, if you’re reading this, I’m just kidding! Really! There’s nobody cooler than Aida! Or hawter!)

And Inky <333

^ LOL

And gosh, how are we EVER going to make it to page 500? I’m an optimist, but that seems like almost impossible. :P

But we shall prevail!

Wow, you won’t believe what happened today. I’ll provide you with a summary:
3 hour “emergency” meeting
I’m still sick
Competition crazed exec tried usurping me as president on grounds that I was going to be away for too long during the summer to be able to get the club ready for the school year…
Did I mention 3 hour meeting? Oh and I’m sick?

IT NEVER ENDS. I just hope this won’t ruin my time at TASP.

P.S. We really need to post like craaaaaaazy people. post post post post postpostpostpostpostpostpostpostpsoasihfdawohjdcwaoj!!!

Okay let’s do it like this. Today we shall reach (at least) page 470.

By wednesday we’ll reach page 480. By Friday 490. Then Saturday we’ll be so excited that we’ll reach 520 :)

Oh my gosh uber! That’s terrible. Did you win? What club?

Crazy competitive peoples :(

^ ditto

That’s CRAZY. Your SCHOOL is CRAZY. Period. End of discussion.

PS - get yourself away from above mentioned CRAZY school.

…but more realistically, I hope you’re still the President of your club, uber!

And yeah, we SO HAVE TO reach 470 today, but it’s like 3x15 posts…

Wow your school is crazzy uber.

And I hate club drama, at my school people start clubs for their college resumes its ridiculous. Stem Cell Research Club… they met once and have 10 officers for a 10 person club.

They will get into college now, yayyyyy!

rolls eyes

So? What is your point, Mintie?

Lol. Now I’m just posting for no reason. BUT WE NEED TO ATTAIN OUR GOAL.

Okay, question time!

What’s everybody’s favourite colour?

Mine is green-orange-purple. I can’t decide which one. (I may have said this before but) the other day I spent half an hour trying to decide between bright green and dark purple flip flops at Old Navy. That’s how sad I am.

Sorry for the double post wink wink

It sort of stinks being gone so long this summer, our club is adopting an entire school in East Palo Alto and their principal has been out on maternity leave. She comes back in June and school for them stats August 1st. Hopefully all will be well. At least our club has 2 presidents and 2 vice presidents, I think it is more of just a 4 person committee. I really could care less, it helps because I am going to be a junior and the other president will be a senior with college apps. I think it will provide good balance. :-)

YAYY posting party. To bad I am leaving in 1/2 hour.

Lol Tako. Sorry for cross double posting :-P

My favorite color is, charcoal gray… at least for shirts. My favorite color use to be purple :stuck_out_tongue: my room when I lived in Menlo Park was dark dark dark purple, amazing. I actually dont know what my favorite color is anymore

Lol in that house there was a concrete pathway that ran next to my room and one night I stayed up the entire night because there was water dripping from the gutter onto the concrete and I swore to god my mom was walking up and down the path all night in high heels. I don’t know why I remember that.

I also remember walking down the path at Middle School getting in a fight over whether or not Marriah Carey’s career was a flop after Glitter. It was but damn she came back.

Haha! It’s not a double post. Silly Corey.

And it stinks for me too to be gone so long this summer because I am spending all day cooped up in my room trying to figure out Dreamweaver and Joomla and coding so I can get our website going. It is not going well. I am not a computer person. I almost wish I could spend all summer doing this.

Oh grr you did get yourself a double post. This 60 second rule always screws me over :(

WTH were those above 2 stories :stuck_out_tongue: (in my previous post)

Im trying to think of what random stuff I should pack.

So far I want to bring nerf guns, some of my crazy hats, my stunna shade collection (no lies)

Hmmm what else.

I am also bringing my infamous trunk, I want more stickers to put on it.

I know dreamweaver. whats up? And are you bringing a laptop with you to Mich? If so I will come over and help you out with dreamweaver sometime…

OMG 2 more posts till my 1000th

And I just got 7000th post!!!

This is a sign
