I’m going on a free educational iceland trip and then i have a paid internship at a conservation law place! I’m still waiting to hear back from some other science-related apps but that’s pretty much it!

also i just wanted to say, that everyone who posted here and applied is an incredibly intelligent, insightful, beautiful person and i mean that 100% sincerely & from the heart. i was honestly intimidated by how clever some of you guys’ essay topics were, how interesting your book/music lists, how incisive and funny and amazing your comments on this thread were. not being chosen as a finalist does not change ANY of this, and being accepted does not mean you are better in any shape way or form. being rejected does not make you any less smart, amazing, original, creative, etc etc etc. with the amount of people that applied, ultimately a lot of this comes down to luck. rest assured that if you have the motivation, the insight, the dedication to complete the TASPlication, your good traits come in spades. you will find wonderful opportunities and success in life, no doubt about it, it just won’t be at TASP. it does NOT make you any less of a person than anyone who does get selected as a finalist for TASP, no matter what anyone says. before being chosen as a finalist i idealized TASP and thought people who got chosen as finalists must be some sort of Gods in an this ethereal plane of E n l i g h t e n m e n t that i would never reach. this isn’t the case at all; people who get chosen as finalists or ultimately accepted into the program aren’t any above you. (proof: i spent the last two hours of my life contemplating whether or not to buy hot cheetos). you are all AWESOME and while i know not being chosen as a finalist hurts (and, for me, possibly not being ultimately chosen would hurt) it does not reflect whatsoever on who you are as a person or on how talented & bright & amazing you all are. please don’t forget that.

No time to deal with rejection depression rn… too many tests 
I just got rejected too, oh well I was expecting it. For those looking for other programs I applied to the Stanford summer humanities institute which seems to be tasp like but less rigorous of course. I think the rolling round of applications is still open if anyone’s interested

Hey guys! I’m a finalist! I saw in the rejection email that 1500 applied for 60 spaces. Does anyone know how many finalists were selected (what is the likelihood that we will be accepted from this stage)? Thanks!
International finalist here! So happy that I made it, now I’m kind of worried about my English speaking skills haha. To those who applied this year, you guys are all amazing regardless of the results! Remember that many people didn’t even finish the essays, and I really hope to meet some of you soon if possible><
