We talked a lot about the philosophy of human rights and human nature for most of the interview… we also discussed voting behavior and political partisanship (indoctrination v. adoption of a political platform). We should start a TASP chat…

Hey dragonfield, I live in the state of Michigan, do you reside there as well out of curiosity???:)

hey! i just found this forum… i’m going to WashU-- soo excited! :)

there are three of us now!!
WashU is making a comeback.

woo! haha. this summer is going to be AMAAZING.

i really want to get the factota letter to see what they have planned for us…

Wow…this thead has more posts than RSI introduction thread now.

go tasp!

i want my factota letters too…

It sucks that they’re just sending them tomorrow…

Gurl next door: nope, I’m from Florida. It’s kinda crazy. (:

are these factota letters via mail or email?

That was a frustratingly detailed physical.

Blood work? Urinalysis? TB test?

It’s like we’re joining the army.

I think the TB test is optional.

I didn’t get any of those.
A little concerning.

My doctor just said I could use the one from last summer. (I hope TASP doesn’t hear this, and that was bad.) It was weird that they asked you if you ever had Acne, though. I mean, is that really a medical condition? I’m pretty sure it’s not contagious, or fatal. Maybe they only want sexy students? That would fit in with the picture request.

Also, are there any Sufjan Stevens fans among us Michigan TASPers? If so, please take out your liner notes to “Michigan”. You’ll notice that approximately where Ann Arbor should be, there is a city named “Hell.” With some fire over it.

I like SS.

Haha, “L.L. Nunn” (founder of Telluride) has a facebook.

back to the interviewers…did anyone else have Adam Arenson? He was pretty cool…we talked a lot about life in a rural town. I think he lives in New York City or something…He was kinda fascinated by the fact that my high school class is only 30 kids, total. And, yeah, I am really waiting, bored, for my factota letter.

my doctor, except for noting that I’m diabetic, wrote “WNL” next to just about everything on the form. I suppose as long as that doesn’t stand for “Will Not Live” I’m good to go. :)

Haha Ryan, even the man upstairs wouldn’t be cruel enough to drag you away from this earth before you experience TASP!!!
It sucks that I got rejected from this program but since I live 20 minutes away from UM, I’m definitely planning a hunger strike in front of the TASP dormitories there until they let me become a TASPer.;)

My doc pretty much just put N/A on everything. The only thing she really put down was that my mom has MS. But did anyone else notice that they really hammered on the “history of psychiatric illness” thing…i think like half the questions were about psychiatric illness.

Random question. Was anyone going to the Michigan TASP born before 1989? Or am I just gonna be like the old one there? Well, not that old, but ya know what I mean.
