TASP Decisions

Likewise, anyone going to Michigan who wants to split a cab?

dymonds-- sure! i get there a little later than you do, but if you’re willing to wait, that would be perfect! just pm me your email/cell # and we can talk. : )

i haven’t gotten my rooming survey yet.

i love how much free time we have! we’ll definitely have to get some fun, random, stuff organized…what is there to do in st. louis…

btw, do you guys have access to your schools’ libraries? i hope we do-- that would be really useful.

what is the rooming survey?

^ Just a few questions they ask in order to pair you up with an appropriate roommate. Examples:

Are you neat/messy
What time do you sleep
Etc.

did you guys all get a rooming survey? Im going to the umich tasp and can’t find it. Does this mean we won’t have roommates? God I can’t wait for school to be over, 8 more days. boooooooo

maybe i just didnt read the letter close enough, but the survey for cornell was on the random back of the last page, and did it say if we were supposed to mail it back?

^ Wait, I forget… which seminar are you attending again?

you get out of school in 8 days??? luuuckkkyyyyy. we have until the 20th of june. >.<

^ Same… well, 16th for me.

im in cornell 2

Hm… I don’t believe I’ve spoken to you. Or have I? Well, see you at Cornell!

cornell we stand! Actually I’m into Harvard

yeah, i’m out on the 8th of june.
countdown until SATs: 7
end of school: 16
telluride: 29
watch, i probably have all of those numbers wrong. good thing the interviewer didn’t know i couldn’t count. which reminds me, my interview didn’t have too an auspicious start. we were supposed to meet at a restaurant in the airport. she got there before me, and sent me a text saying she was in the back of the restaurant. when i got up to the front of the restaurant, it was one of those “wait to be seated” ones. so i went up to the front and asked them if my interviewer (i said her name, not interviewer, obviously) had reserved a seat. they didn’t understand me, and since i was wearing dress pants etc. and we had a bit of miscommunication, they thought i was there for a job interview at the restaurant, and started to guide me to the kitchen. they had like really weird looks and were saying how i should wait in the back to show me what i had to do. then my interviewer (who is amazing, ms. saksewski) saw me and waved. i must have looked so pathetic. but it’s humorous in retrospect.

yep…there was no rooming survey I found in the UMich TASP letter

I’m going to umich too, and I didn’t get a survey either. Maybe we get our own rooms…

I’m going to UMICH and still haven’t gotten my letter yet.

Hey guys, congrats on your acceptances!

Just a quick note for the Wash U TASPers -

You should have received your factota letter by now (or you will within a couple of days since Wash U and UT letters were mailed a day later than UM and CU letters), and you’ll be receiving emails from the factota beginning sometime during the upcoming week. The rooming/food survey will be sent out via email soon. There will be a listserve so that you can communicate with other Wash U TASPers before, during, and after the program. If you have any questions (either specifically about the Wash U TASP or more generally), feel free to post them and I’ll answer what I can.

I got my factota letter about 3 hours after I put up that post about not getting it yet. hehe.

You guys are right, the letter made me even more excited. I’m just stuck as to a PubSpeak topic.

To answer a few questions, you definitely have full access to all the school’s libraries, including check-out privileges. You won’t believe how music I ripped from UMich’s Music Library  Also, even if you haven’t gotten a rooming survey letter yet, you WILL have a roommate. And in the case of Michigan, a weirdly communal bathroom system too. I suggest you figure out a shower schedule, and bring some shower shoes too. Also, don’t stress out too much about PubSpeaks, as you can figure them out once you get there. On the other hand though, if you have a good idea for one, you can start sketching it out around now. For goodness sake don’t worry about rehearsing or fancy presentations. And of course, just ignore the time limit.

Is that you, “Wu Tang”? Of the illustrious UMich '05?
