TCU Early Action / Early Decision for Fall 2025 Admission

My twins deferred as well. Test optional. One nursing and one pre Pt. 5.7 weighted

My son applied TO and was also deferred… last year my older boy applied TO and was deferred by 2 colleges both of which eventually ended up admitting him. Stay hopeful!

same thing just happened to my son. did she eventually get into TCU?

Yes, regular decision, with a not insignificant scholarship. I got the sense they deferred too many and were scrambling at the end. TCU was her first choice. By that time the damage was done. Daughter was devastated initially and couldn’t get herself to see past it. She is doing great at IU.

same here!

Did you get any feedback on this question? I was wondering about honors decision too

I’d anticipate around week or jan 13

Wondering the same because commitments are due by 1/15 right?

For early decision yes. But the honors college decisions should have no bearing on early decision. That’s binding regardless.

Does anyone have an idea when honors decisions are being released?

@FrogFan001 Do you have any insight on this one? Thank you!

Do you have to apply specifically for the honors college or are you selected based on your application?

For those applicants who were deferred, is it worth going ED2? Does that really increase the chances of admissions vs. regular decision?

You had to complete the supplemental honors college app

Do you mean ED2 at another school?

I think they mean switching to ED2 at TCU. That’s a frequent nudge of EA deferred students from schools with ED2.

From a DI standpoint, yes, schools consider ED/ED2 favorably and it can be a boost. From the student’s POV, you must be completely comfortable with the financial aspect. Here is TCU’s ED page that addresses your exact question. TCU Admission Deadlines | Important Dates
