Teach For America 2012 Corps

macphisto, I’m sure you did fine. I wouldn’t worry about that answer too much. As that article I posted above stated , your acceptance into the corps is a weighted factor of a lot of things.

oa0176, wow sounds like such a long process

Zettibetti413, I chose Detroit as one my highly preferred regions alongside NOLA, the Mississippi Delta, Appalachia, and Seattle-Tacoma.

Checking transitional funding is now pointless for me. I have to wait til I file my taxes for this year and submit that info online. My previous info was too outdated since I now have a full salary job! I was hoping my status would change but now I have to just wait no point checking every hour now! Ha

@ calijunkie thanks for the article! It was definitely a good read, I feel a LOT better and my confidence is back up because of certain things stated.

Wow! I can’t believe, we are almost there!!
Let’s think Positively everyone!!!

Positive vives for everyone! I know I’ve been refreshing my TFA page and this forum regularly.

Think positive, everyone! So excited - down to a week!

Anyone else finding out about grad schools and/or LSAT scores on the same day? I’m in this boat, and the possibility of finding out about both TFA and other options next Tuesday makes this waiting game even more pronounced.

Satelle, I understand. Just be glad you have family there.

To whoever said they wonder if tfa looks at this, I’ve thought that too! No status change for me yet, anyone else have one?

Yay one more week-- positive thoughts!

Nope, no change for me either.

Given what laine posted earlier, maybe they will update everyones TF status on Thursday around 7-9 pm?

I guess you’re right. I figured laine’s post meant they would not be responding to emails until Thursday night, but I guess they are totally out of office.

That’s what I thought too fairytale.

I am watching you guys talk and I am so nervous!!! I am in the last deadline and the first decision is Thursday, to see if we advance to the phone interview (I suppose). Does anyone know if results are shown a bit earlier than the date??? And congrats to everyone who got in!!!

Hi bubblerj! Welcome! I found out that day but around 3:30 pm

Blubberj- welcome! Unfortunately for all of us TFA sticks by their timelines. You will find out on the scheduled date. However there is a chance you will find out at and early TIME on that day! Good luck to you!

This questions pertains to 4DLs, but hopefully some past TFA applicants can shed some light on my question. Did anyone feel a lot of questions weren’t asked in the final interview. I felt the phone interview was very detailed; however, the personal interview was specific to only a couple of questions. I don’t know if this was a good thing or a bad thing. My interviewer focused on 2 particular questions…we did the role play…then she asked me one more question before it was my time to ask some questions.

Thanks guys!!! Anyone applying for Hawaii at all?
How were the interviews anyways??

husker, I felt the exact same way! My phone interview was 45 minutes and the final interview was only 30 minutes including my questions for the interviewer. I felt like she only asked me a few questions, and most of them were the same questions I’d been asked during the phone interview.
