Teach For America 2012 Corps

Husker, I was asked about two questions, same as the phone interview. Then the scenario and then like four other questions. My interview lasted about an hour.

Ah my transitional funding changed today. It changed to “incomplete” bc as I stated before I have to resubmit a newer tax return. At least it was reviewed right?
I guess there offices are working?
Still confused, slightly relieved, and super excited!

@husker - I think it depends on what information they have on file for you and any additional information that they need in order to complete their profile. My interview lasted 45-50 minutes which is significantly longer than other posts I’ve seen.

Is anybody attending the “Spotlight on Math and Science Placements” or “Spotlight on Early Childhood Education Placements” seminars? The Math and Science one starts in 5 minutes.

Edit: I received email invites to both because I highly preferred both areas.

Yuck I hate that I just used the wrong “there” I meant their. Forgive me! Ha

I was only asked about some tutoring I put on my resume and if I’d leave the corps. I’m pretty sure those were the only two new questions.

That’s awesome Kaine. At least you know its being reviewed.

That’s great, Laine. When did your status change? Did you submit a 2010 tax return and that wasn’t enough?

It changed sometime today. I checked at 6 ET.
I submitted a 2009 return because I didn’t file in 2010. They want me to submit my 2011 when I get it back because 2009 was too outdated.

I’m a bit disappointed that I didn’t submit my transitional funding earlier on. I sent it two days ago so the likelihood of anything happening before March 6th is slim I’d imagine.

I doubt they’d check your tax return if they weren’t going to accept you Laine, so I’d definitely take that as very good news.

Well thank you chicvicious. I’m excited but I don’t want to over think things. We are still a week away. Just think next week at this time we will most likely know!
I just want to say I’m so thankful for you all. I’d be suffering alone without this!

I almost wish I would have submitted something wrong so I’d get an incomplete! Any kind of change would be welcomed right now!

Chikvicious, I’m with you on that one!! It is soooo nerve wrecking!

I’m reading through Admissions blogs…for the 12th time. It’s like endlessly going back to the refrigerator hoping there is something new that magically appears.

And good luck to the D5’s who will be finding out about the next stage of the process! Less than two days left

I applied for early admissions notification so hopefully I find out tomorrow or the next day. My transitional funding is now “complete”. I will let you all know if that means something as soon as I know.

Best of luck to you Amanda  I truly believe that any candidate who can make it to the final interview in such a selective process is determined to do great things in their lifetime, regardless of whether they get accepted into TFA or not. I’ve got my fingers crossed for you!

Let’s go team! Hopefully Amanda gets acceptance #1.

Good luck Amanda!!!

best of luck amanda !

finally something is happening lol! good luck Amanda!
