@mattack…When was your interview day?

I interviewed the first day too! The 3rd…last name starts with E so I’m guessing it has more to do with interview day than last name comparing to MisterTFA…now I’m worried it doesn’t actually mean anything for me haha

I am just crossing my fingers that it was a good sign that they reached out to me to clarify my financial aid. I am not sure why they would look at it and ask me questions about it if I was not a valuable candidate. My interviewer said that they select the candidates the night of the interview but it takes TFA a few weeks to fully notify all of the candidates and establish financial aid packages. Craziness!

I’ve got my fingers crossed for you too! Anyone else seen an update yet?

@TFAWannabe They really said they pick who gets in the night of the interview? I’ve never heard that anywhere else but it’s really interesting to know!

Yup my interviewer said she had a long night ahead of her because they have to select everyone right on the spot after the final interview was complete for that particular day.

Wow that’s crazy! Congrats matt on the change
Unfortunately I was super lazy and late and didn’t submit mine until 4 days ago so I really don’t expect to see any change anytime soon. I hope this means good things for you!!

Anyone else think it’s super insane that if they do decide on people on the spot, that we won’t know for a month but they already know??

I applied for funding about two days ago, and mine just changed to complete. While it’s usually a good sign, I’m definitely not going to let it give me a false sense of security.

Also I wouldn’t be too worried about it not changing yet, I had no loans that they needed to verify, so it was probably a very quick process.

Interesting ubbulls24! What day did you interview, if you don’t mind my asking?

And yeah, I’m not too worried about it not changing. I know peoples changed sometimes hours before acceptance!

Hey y’all – figured I’d join this conversation after lurking around.

Just thought I’d lend my own information – TF just changed to complete, I interviewed a week ago.

Do people really think this is indicative? It seems so early; much earlier than last deadline.

@SenioritisAcutis, I interviewed on December 4th, and finally submitted my transitional funding app, with all of the supporting documents on December 11th.

@ubbulls24 That’s awesome!! Let’s hope this mean good things for you!

@TFAphillykdsm-I definitely wasn’t expecting it to change this early, but the other deadlines also all found out a week or so after interviews, the timeline was just much shorter so it was closer to notification day. However, in previous years the TF for DL 3 didn’t change until January, so I’m not sure exactly what is different this year!

I know people say not to worry about the TF updates, but I am freaking out! I interviewed on the 4th, and all of my documents have been in since November 20th. I am still under review and none of my documents have been verified. =(

Fingers crossed for all of you!!!

Did anyone else take the Spanish exam?

@lea15 Yeah, I definitely wouldn’t worry about it. Every deadline people’s statuses have changed literally only hours before acceptance.
Even it means something, we still have almost a month left for it to change! I’m right there with you!

Hi, I have been lurking this thread since before I even applied to TFA. I applied for the 3DL and all my documents have been verified (they say yes next to them) but my pell grant says N/A even though I submitted the docs. Does anyone know what that may mean? Im so stressed out over this, I need to know now lol

@tfaphilly, mine has N/A next to Pell Grant as well, from what I have seen in previous posts and threads it is a common thing.

@Senioritis I took the Spanish Exam and unfortunately I did not pass…I thought I did well :(

@MisterTFA Ok thanks, hopefully it changes to complete soon so I can have some peace of mind or whatever…

im not applying for transitional funding… can’t decide if thats a good or bad thing. i guess i’ll have no indications of anything until january 7. yikes! good luck everyone
