Hey! So I was planning on applying to a T10 school and was wondering if it’s ok to ask a teacher who taught you in a regular level class for a letter of recommendation. The school I plan on applying to asks a teacher who has taught you in higher level courses. Even though I’ve taken advanced classes in other subjects I feel like my teacher who taught me in regular knows me well and can write a good letter.
I would normally say follow the colleges recommendation, but in this case I think it’s ok for you to use that teacher if you are confident they will write a very strong LOR. However most top 10s ask for 2 teachers recs, so make sure they other one is from an advanced course
