Teacher Recs

I’m about to give my teachers my resume in a manilla folder with a note attached… Is this a good idea?

These recs are for a summer program btw.

Also, what teachers would be ideal? I’m thinking:

PreCalc teacher; I ace that class. I stay after school every now and then. We’re not “buddy-buddy” and we only have very short conversations. Usually about courses and school stuff.

Photojournalism teacher; Graduated from UVA, also teaches German but I’m not in German. I tend to do other work in that class besides working on the yearbook. And sadly, she knows that very well. Of course, that class is an easy A.

AP Language teacher; I tend to have trouble in her class. I somehow end up with a range of an A to a B+ in her class though. However, analytical stuff is not my strong point. I think she thinks I’m simple minded and uninteresting. She DID help me in writing my governor’s school statement in the beginning of the year and I made her a cupcake as a thank you.

Please help! Pressed for time!
Thanks!

For just a summer program? No, I do not think that a manilla folder resume is necessary. Seems like overkill. Maybe give them a sheet with some things you did if they don’t know you well.
Oh, and don’t ask AP Lang teacher. If you think that she thinks you’re dumb, then you’re probably right. Frustrating her with a recommendation for your silly high school summer program won’t endear you much to her.
