Does any school anywhere have teachers that have an AIM screen name that students IM them in?

Just curious…

Does any school anywhere have teachers that have an AIM screen name that students IM them in?

Just curious…

No, but I’ve got two teachers with public myspaces; the english teacher goes around correcting students’ grammar, it’s fab.

My stat teacher had AIM, but I never conversed with him.

My summer school chem teacher (he teaches at a private school) had an AIM account that we could IM him with. He would never IM us, though.

There was a choir teacher a few years ago in my school who used to talk with students on aim. He was arrested about a year ago for sleeping with one of his students. He got jail time I believe…

thats sweet longdaysahead

Yeah, one of my teachers (well, I’d only had him as a speech coach) got caught with child porn last year. Interestingly, it was about a week after the AP tests…

theoneo… that sounds a lot like my precal teacher. his last name doesnt by chance start w/ a ‘g’ does it?

anyway, yeah, my precal teacher has AIM and gives students his sn so they can IM him, but he doesnt IM students.

caught with child porn? how does that happen?

Yeah all 6 of my teachers have AIM. They are online 24/7. We can just IM them or leave a question when they are away and they respond back. They only IM you if you are missing an assignment or something like that.

yup, one of them. Good thing he’s my favorite teacher too. It’s also a good thing I haven’t had him for a single class as of yet, but I talk to this teacher more than any other. :p

lol i just thought of an interesting situation. Your friend IMs you to hang out tonite and then ur teacher’s IM immediately pops up reminding you to study for the test tomorrow. Ah… modern technology.

There are some that have had AIM names; one, a child molester, was fired after both having been caught with child porn and then recieving 60 accusations from 28 girls of child molestation (ie dropping things so the girl would bend over and he could get a clear view of the girl’s breasts).

At my school, the ones that probably did were the two who were arrested. They both supplied alcohol to students, one sent a girl explicit text messages, and both were knwon to have slept with students.

One of the history teachers, whose incidentally also the MUN advisor, has an AIM sn.

my stats teacher had an AIM but i never spoke with her because she was a b-word

my bio teacher also had one and i emailed her all the time for help and for my efforts she gave me clues to what some of the hard questions would be on her hella hard tests which led to me getting the highest grade in the class. i think i was the only one not afraid to email/IM her…her grammar was way worse than students too!

My student teacher did this last year…and we all thought it was really lame :p

I wonder if he gets constant AIM messages from the MUN club; here people take it very seriously and as such there is frequent contact with the head, who teaches all of two SS classes in the school all day.

My AP US History teacher has AIM, but he never IMs us. We can always message him if we have questions though. My online community college professor for psychology has AIM as well, and utilizes the IM system for the same purpose.

A few teachers at my school use MySpace instead of AIM. My homeroom teacher has a MySpace herself.

one of our teachers was forced to delete her myspace because all the kids made fun of her for it because it said “looking for spanish or latin men” because she was young and all. it was funny though because shes white as can be.

some of my teachers have Yahoo! groups for class
