Yeah what JNTHNL said. I reported 2 classes that I dropped, though they were irrelevant. The admissions counselor I spoke to was very nice and told me it shouldn’t effect me whatsoever, as long as I had 60 units completed. If it is one of your major pre-reqs, then that I am not so sure of. The only thing you can really do is report them as dropped(if you get a W) or NE(if you dropped before getting the W.)

I’m so excited to move in already!!! I’m kind of shy also but love meeting new people!

@UCHappytrain Well housing costs $9,648.00 and tuition costs $15,992.00 so thats already $25,64.00 dollars. I’m getting a total grant of 19323 plus the loan of 5,500 -_- i hate loans. And so that is barely $24,823.00… so you see it’s like i have pay a thousand dollars more which i don’t have and not to mention books and stuff. Here’s how mine looks

@cosmic bubble they have you labled as a commuter. Call or email them right away. They made that mistake with me too.I called them about it, and they never changed it, then I sent a threatening email saying I would cancel my SIR and attend another university if they didn’t change it and they changed it the next day. mine looked exactly like yours but this is how mine looks now:

My financial aid looks exactly like cosmic bubble as well. Which email address did you email, and what did you tell them? That your financial aid had to be switched from commuter? Thanks

The reason I am writing this email is because there has been a mistake regarding my financial aid. I indicated on my 2012-2013 FAFSA that I would be living ON CAMPUS. My UCD financial aid package, however, has me listed as a commuter. I have called about this issue and was promised a resolution, yet nothing has changed on my “My Awards” website. I would like to submit my Housing Application, but I believe it would be best if my Financial Aid package was up to date before I do. I do not understand why UCD has listed me as a commuter, I clearly listed on my FAFSA that I would be living On Campus. I also applied to many other Universities of California and they did not have this problem, they labeled me as “On Campus”, which is correct. Please help me fix this issue as soon as possible. As time goes by, my deadlines to submit all official documents is drawing near so I would like to have this issue resolved quickly. If not, unfortunately I will be forced to cancel my SIR to UC Davis and attend another University. Thank you for your time and help.

make sure you include your name, student ID number, and tell them that you are a transfer student.

@JNTHNL : thanks for the response. The class I dropped wasn’t relevant or important to my major–it was just a class I took to fill up the rest of Area 4 of my IGETC, so I hope it doesn’t get me rescinded (again. I’d hate to have to repeat community college for another year if I get rescinded for the second time in a row -_-). And I’ve already completed all my UC transferable courses by the end of summer last year.

@Sweetlacecharm: Just go ahead and let them know! Don’t let them find out on their own. I dropped a class that was irrelevant to my major and they said it was fine, but I told them prior to me being accepted. Either way, I doubt you’ll get rescinded because of it. Just be sure to let them know right away! Good luck. :)

I e-mailed Davis about my financial aid package as well. -__-

@uchappytrain omg thank you so much! I seriously would ahve never thought they made a mistake. I already even sent my fee for the housing application! Anyways, i just sent them the email and used most of your question lol thanks again!

Ho my geee guys I just signed up for orientation & I’m going by myself!! I’m going to buy a plane ticket tomorrow… I’m so scared!! Is anyone else going by themselves? I’m going to be lost while everyone else is all happy with their parents Luckily tho I qualified for EOP so i’m doing the overnight thing & I get breakfast & lunch for free plus I get to stay overnight for only 50 bucks. Super good deal :)

I read that they don’t even let parents or family members join in during orientation events anyway. They have their own family transfer orientation for parents I think.

I’ll be there also! Not going to pay for overnight though cause I have a place to sleep haha. I’m going to the June 29th one. It’s a friday so that was the only one that fit my schedule!

For those who SIRd but are waiting for decisions from waitlisted school, which sections of the post-SIR steps are you doing? I’ve done the SLR, SIR, and that’s it. I’m not going to send in transcripts just yet but I’m guessing that’s something that I should do… Is the Housing something I should hold back on? because that’s what I’m guessing.

i’m going to the friday one too! I’m so scured. I haven’t been on a plane since I was 12 years old and I have to ride the bus from the airport to davis. I just know i’m going to get lost lol i’m excited to stay overnight tho & check out the residence halls :)
