#TEAMUCDavis2012 Acceptance Thread

@stressy lol that sounds strange. I will probably try calling tomorrow. you should too!

Regarding Primero Grove: CURRENTLY, it’s only for transfers and freshmen with special needs, BUT for the 2012-2013 school year, transfers, regardless of special needs or not, WILL be put in Primero Grove, according to this[/url”>http://housing.ucdavis.edu/prospective/transfers_RH.asp]this. Primero Grove hasn’t updated their info on their website regarding transfers for next year yet. When I was at the tour guide orientation meeting last month, the academic coordinator for my housing area (I’m currently a transfer living in Cuarto. Next year, all of Cuarto will be for freshmen) said transfers will live in Primero Grove. They did NOT specify between regular transfers or transfers with special needs.

OMG you guys I won a free trip to go to UC Davis decision day!! YAY :)It’s may 11th and they’re paying for my plane ticket plus lunch and dinner!! I’m sho excited :D

@cosmic bubble you’re welcome!!! I wouldn’t have known my financial aid was wrong until someone told me on here  I love college confidential it’s so helpful

congrats!! I’m not sure if i will be attending the may 11th decision day. Still thinking about it lol

@internetaffairs sorry, but they did say if you didn’t get priority then you’d be placed on a waiting list

@cjm2009 I got an email about it, and I filled out an application. I think priority was given to low income students who are the first generation to go to college.

just checked the page again. they changed the reply date from may 2nd to may 3rd.

oh cool! they sent me an email at about 3 p.m. so you should look out for that

other cc people from socal want to make this road trip?

daniel do you have a car with good mileage? lol i would be down for a road trip! wooo

Does anyone know if Fall 2012 transfers can take classes at UC Davis this summer?

^^ no idea but I wanna take summer off to relax before the transition.

Pretty much anyone can take summer classes if they’re willing to shell out the money for it. It’s around 1k for a session.

@ Eric03: yes, they can. They can also [get some financial aid](http://summer-sessions.ucdavis.edu/financialaid.cfm) as well. However, you will need to fill out a [summer session application](http://summer-sessions.ucdavis.edu/apply.cfm) and submit that.

Thanks sopranokitty. I submitted my application and I’m currently looking over the list of available classes. By any chance are you familiar with the Organic Chem 8A and 8B series? I still need to take organic chem, and it looks like 8A is offered during the first session. It’s only 2 units, so I don’t know if it’s too difficult or not.

The two units are probably not including lab which you will most likely need
