What’s your prediction?

In their last game, the Pats spanked the Broncos. But that was then and this is now.

Brady over tebow

I predict that the Pats will not play their safeties at the line of scrimmage and leave the deep part of the field wide open like the Steelers did. They’ll make the Tebows beat them running the ball. It will be difficult to score enough points to beat Brady with the running game.

I predict that the Pats will be exceptionally disciplined with the edge pass rush, with a goal of keeping the QB in the pocket. They will especially focus on not letting him escape the pocket to his left.

I predict that the Pats will open the game in no-huddle hurry up offense and stay in it until they’ve broken the scoreboard. They will not want to get off to a slow start offensively as they did in their last two games.

I predict Brady, but I wouldn’t bet against Tebow.

He can play “inspired” football at times and I love to cheer for the underdog. :-)

If it becomes Tebow versus Brady the Bronco’s are finished. There is no comparison between the two players.
The bigger question is can the Giants get to Rogers with a 4 man pass rush. If not their secondary is in trouble.

Brady, but I’d love for it to be Tebow.

Everyone knows Tim Tebow is God’s quarterback
After all, he threw for 316 yards (think John 3:16) and averaged 31.6 yds per pass. I’m being facetious … I’m a one-team girl and neither the Broncos nor the Pats is that team! I’ll watch, of course, because I just love football. I don’t really care who wins, though. I’m just bummed my boys didn’t make it to post-season play.

Can they both lose?

^ I’m with you, RobD!

I haz a sad. I’ll be traveling and can’t watch the game.

But I guess I’d vote for a Pat win, since I think overall quality is there. Tebow pulled some good plays against the Steelers, which the Steelers had not expected or planned for. The Pats will not be surprised. I think interesteddad nailed it.

I’ll root for Tebow, because the whole situation with him just makes me laugh so much that I have to like the guy. Patriots should win, but I’m rooting for that overtime 60-yard field goal for the Broncos win.

If the Giants are able to keep up the strong defensive playing they have over the past few games, it should be a big win for them. Last time they only lost by three, playing at a lower level. Eli has started playing like every quarter is the fourth, and the defense seems to be stepping up. I won’t be too upset if they lose, though, given the tragedy with the Green Bay coach’s son.

Rob, what a great idea!

The Pats are deservedly the heavy favorites, but I just love Tebow. He shows great humility and is so positive. I think the guy is showing incredible grace under a very often critical and skeptical spotlight. I wish him well. I loved his comments after the last win: he gave God, his teammates, and coaches the glory and said the highlight of his day was meeting an ailing teenager before the game. Even if I was not a Christian, I would respect this fine young man.

I know almost nothing about football, am barely aware of Tebow, but I loathe, detest, abhor and revile Tom Brady. He represents everything that is wrong with this country and I hope he loses.

Broncos!!! Its gonna be a good game.

But about giants… Really? Anyone thinks they have a chance. Green Bay is gonna win no doubt.

Brady, of course, because he is a great leader, an even better person, and all he does is win.

Plus he is quite proficient in the forward passing game, which is nice.

zoosermom, what is your thinking on this?

I too am surprised by the vitriol regarding Brady. He is a wonderful young man with a heart of pure gold, and pretty good quarterback as well.

I know Tebow is a great athlete but I don’t know enough about his personal belief system or the strength of his charachter to form an opinion about him as a person.

Razorsharp, when a real man makes a baby, he doesn’t trade up the mother for a better model before it’s even born. He also then doesn’t allow the better model to publicly humiliate the mother of the first child repeatedly over the years. He should be castrated. And I really hope he loses.

Actually, I think Brady handled that quite well. It was pretty clear from the timing that Bridgette Moynahan sucker-punched him with that pregnancy, i.e. never told him that she had gone off birth control. If Brady had a string of baby-mamas across the country, I’m quite sure we would have heard about it. He seems like the kind of guy who probably understands how birth control works. He had already broken up with Moynahan when she announced “the big news”. He has never had one word of complaint.

I’m guessing that it went down something like this in a conversation that unfolded over some period of time:

She wanted to get married and have kids. He told her no, that they should move on. She got pregnant against his knowledge (and wishes) as a way of saying, “Thanks for playing and here’s a lovely parting gift…”
