Tebow vs. Brady

Of note, Brady is well known for his ball security (and by that I, of course, reference his low interception totals). As castrations exemplify the most critical type of change in possession (game-changers, really), I believe Brady will take all necessary precautions to avoid that particularly catastrophic turnover.

Disagree Idad. Vehemently disagree. Mr. Brady had the choice to wear a condom or practice celibacy. He also had the choice to tell his wife to shut her moronic mouth. Did neither. Pig. I hope he loses big.

Losing a playoff game is big.

Losing the castration game is huge.

Dislike both QBs for different reasons. Becoming really tired of the Tebow hype and I’ve never been a fan of his to start with. Hope the Pats stick a fork in him.

All I know is that it was public knowledge that Moynahan and Brady had broken up and that Brady was dating Gizelle quite some period of time before Moynahan announced her pregnancy. It doesn’t take much of leap of logic to figure out how that whole thing went down and that Brady was not included in the decision to have that pregnancy. They had been living together for several years. I doubt that he suddenly forgot to wear a condom.

His mistake was not figuring that Moynahan would sucker punch him.

All he ever said about it publicly was that it was wonderful news and how great it was that he was becoming a father.

Do you think she raped him,Idad. Is that what you’re saying?
What’s the excuse for letting the idiot humiliate the mother of his child?

I have to agree with zoosermom on this. I loathe Tom Brady as well, for the same reasons (and really, he has the Worst Haircut Ever.)

Zooser, may I suggest Aaron Rodgers? His current girl friend is a childhood friend whom he met at church camp. And he does play for a pretty good team…

Checking the math:

Girl from church camp > Supermodel; so,

Rogers > Brady

Did I get that right?

Boy, QBs have to be saints nowadays! Well, that one from Denver is on his way to sainthood, according to some reports.

This game should be good for a while. Arguably the best QB in the league against one of the top defenses. On the other side, a mediocre and overhyped one against the worst defense in the league.

My prediction is that the Cinderella story ends this weekend, and I hope it ends in a way that forces John Elway to look for a real QB for the future. After all, he has spent the last 2 years watching a real talented QB showing how it is done.

No, of course not. I’m saying that she was on birth control pills the entire time they lived together and gave Brady no indication that anything had changed. They had been living together for several years.

^^^ works for me. And Church Camp Girl is really pretty, too.

I think the Pats win if Brady can stay focused on the game while avoiding all of the distracting castration talk. If it happens, it happens. Look at Funny Cide, it happened to him and he became a champion.

I don’t get the hate. He’s been involved in the kid’s life, where he could have easily been an absentee father. It’s not like he’s Antonio Cromartie, who couldn’t remember the names of his 9 kids from 8 different baby mamas. Or Ben Roethlisberger, doing who-knows-what to co-eds in the men’s bathroom.

The way to beat the Patriots is the same for every team - be in Brady’s face the entire game and throw him off his rhythm, and win time of possession so the offense is off the field.

Pittsburgh had the world’s worst defensive plan, basically daring Tebow to beat them through the air. 31.6 yards per completion, against the #1 passing defense in the league? Stupid. Had they played a normal defense, they would have won even with a one-legged Roethlisberger.

Oh, please. In order to make Brady’s behavior look better, you’re comparing him to Cromartie and Roethlisberger? That’s the best you’ve got?

I’m assuming that ZM is no big fan of them, either. Not to put words in her mouth, of course.

It’s a tough world when one guy gets slammed for practicing celibacy and the other gets slammed for not practicing it.

interesteddad - I don’t think it’s fair to assume Moynahan got pregnant to trap him. Noone knows the whole story but them. That being said, I do think Giselle should shut up about the step son.

Tebow has not asked for any of the hype. I guess any person in the public eye is open to it, but he seems to get more scrutiny because of his outspokeness of his faith. I like him a lot, but do think Brady is the better athlete. I will be hoping for an upset tomorrow.

Hunt - excellent point!

Who dat!!!

^ You’re hating on him because of his haircut? That’s a good reason. Besides, he chopped off the dorky ponytail a while ago.

What did you expect him to do? Dump Giselle and go running back to Bridget? Because shotgun weddings always work out, and they live happily ever after. Right. Especially in Hollywood. She sand-bagged him, and now he’s the bad guy.

He’s never beaten anyone up.
He’s never driven drunk.
He’s never shot anyone (or himself).
He doesn’t do drugs.
He doesn’t hang out in strip clubs.
He doesn’t cheat on his wife.
He’s never been arrested, AFAIK.
He does a lot of charity work.
By all accounts he’s the hardest-working person on the team.

Brady is a saint, by the standards of many pro athletes these days.

What makes Bridget Moynihan such a paragon of virtue?

It may not be fair and, you are right, none of us know. But, it was my immediate conclusion when Moynahan announced her pregnancy two months after it became public that she and Brady had split and Brady was dating Giselle. Monahan’s publicist released a statement on Dec 13th 2006 that the couple had broken up several weeks earlier. she announced she was pregnant in mid February. The baby was born in late August 2007.

Given that Brady was in his 30’s, a quite eligible bachelor, and had never fathered a child, it’s a reasonable assumption that he understood the mechanics of birth control. Let’s just say that the timing sure was a big coincidence. Hey, if I were looking to be a single mom, I’d figure that Tom Brady would be pretty good choice, too. Good lookin’ guy. Reasonalbly intelligent. Somewhat athletic. And a decent income for child support…

I think what was “unfair” was zoosiermom’s attack on Brady’s character, with no real knowledge of the situation either.

I disliked Brady for a long time before the Baby Daddy incident and all that did was cement all the reasons why I didn’t like him. Plus DH is a Jets fan and everyone knows how Jets fans feel about the Patriots ;)

As for Tebow, even when he was back in college I got the same vibe from him that I used to get from Brady. I don’t know either of them, and they may be perfectly wonderful young men, but there is an air they both give off that strikes me as entitled and sanctimonious.

Growing up in the multicultural northeast, my family & community communicated that faith was a personal choice and if someone trumpeted their faith in an over the top way it kind of fell under the “thou doth protest too much” category. I know that’s not the case in other parts of the country & I try to overcome my knee jerk reactions to that because I understand that it’s just part of the vernacular for other areas. Having an athletic role model who seems positive should be a good thing and it does seem in some Broncos games that there has been divine intervention. But this past weekend with all the 316 yards, 3:16 references? Geez, with everything that’s going on in the Middle East and the Sudan, and catastrophic weather events world wide etc., do people seriously think that a diety would manipulate passing yards in a sporting event so that the religion could get better P.R. in an already Christian nation?
