The sun was out today and there was no new snow.

“Feel good” commercial:
[Unsung Hero - YouTube](<a href=“Unsung Hero | ไทยประกันชีวิต (TLI) - YouTube”>Unsung Hero | ไทยประกันชีวิต (TLI) - YouTube)

Very cool commercial, Niquii!

My dog SAVED ME this morning.

I poured some muesli in a bowl and went to the other room to see what he was barking about. When I went back to the kitchen, there were hundreds of little black bugs crawling out of the bowl all over the table. :o3 :o3 :o3

Eeeeeeewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!

He got the lab job!

Yeah Lizard! Loved the commercial Nyquii!

Feeling good. Getting healthier- my stamina is way up on walks. New food trials -Almond milk tastes really good… And I found a new favorite place to relax, in a wooden rocking chair and read before bedtime.

I had muesli for breakfast, now I am afraid to look in the box.
Like sugar ants? What were they?

My youngest son just made his college decision. I believe I am done with college admissions stress, at least at the undergraduate level. Of course the wisdom of CC posters along the way helped keep me sane.

Yay, just finished a 10K, first and only race I ever entered before was 34 years ago also a 10K. At that time I finished last but my goal was to finish. My goal this time was to finish and not be last. Yup personal best. Thinking of half marathon next with generous time limits.

We recently sold the Big Family House and are living in a rental while we build a Not So Big House. Our rental is on a double lot with a good quarter of an acre side yard. It is mostly open with a few very large oak trees. The leaves are getting deep and I was planning to get after them this weekend. While I was raking out in front this afternoon an adorable little boy from across the street asked if it would be OK for them to blow all the leaves from my side yard so they can have the “Record Biggest Leaf Pile”. So instead of raking this weekend I may be baking them some chocolate chip cookies.

Going to nationals in tennis!

Woot, woot! I’d prefer baking to raking leaves any day of the week! Sounds like you have a sweet neighbor who may love to be hired to do little yardwork jobs around your home!

Registered for a half marathon in March with H. Plan on walking fast. Now up to 8 miles in training with my ‘personal virtual trainer’ D1. I am excited. The blisters are starting but I am working on that.
1moremom- have you seen that book and her followup NSBH? We loved some of the ideas.

Definitely thought this was worth sharing here. 5 year old girl’s one wish was to ride a unicorn after finishing chemo. Her nurses made it happen.

I’m planning a trip post retirement to Bora Bora. Maybe tack on New Zealand and Australia. Who knows where else. My kid in college will have 4 week for winter break. I’m getting excited looking at all these hutches over blue water. I’m dreaming for a nice memorable vacation. It’s got to be good.

Dr G, interesting- never have know anyone that went to Bora Bora- I know Fiji island and New Zealand/Australia go together .Winter break- coming up soon!

Rocky, luckily, it’s not for this winter, it’s next winter. But it takes time to plan. No direct flight from what I’ve look sofar from LAX to Bora Bora. Apparently, Marlon Brando sold two of his bungalows over water and so they are available for rent. I’m still deciding what the fourth place will be. I’ve never been to Tokyo or Hong Kong or Thailand or Seoul. My husband has been to Hong Kong and Seoul many times. So it’s hard to choose. Hopefully a place that I don’t need shots.
