Telluride Association Summer Program ( TASP ) 2008

Make sure you’re not related to him first, Panic. Grandfather paradox = I think you just broke time.

lmao. ill make a note of that. but seriously any news on tasp would make me very very happy.

Me too.

Except, not quite any news. Good news. Other news would probably send me into a downward spiral of depression and morosity. Which Firefox tells me isn’t actually a word. Moroseness? That works, but it’s uglier.

lol forget firefox. but yeah not gettin good news would solidify my current belief that i am totally screwed. and that there arent enough hours in the evening.

and what was all that stuff about the gilmore girls?

Ugh, I’m totally opposite right now. I have nothing to do after school. So I wish I had the creativity to think up a neat science project to take up my time, or the transportation to volunteer somewhere, just so I’m not sitting at my computer doing nothing for four hours, then eating and resuming the nothing.

There’s a TASP/Gilmore Girls love correlation, I’d say.

I wish they posted some type of progress report of your app. Like whether it hasn’t been reviewed yet, is in the process of being reviewed, done being reviewed, waiting atop the desk of intern, etc. Anything other than this month of absolute no info.

mmm then id like to say right now i dont like the gilmore girls.

ahh but the taking the time to do that would delay them gettin to other people’s stuff. and it wouldnt assuage your concerns.

Drats, Panic, you’re throwing off the data.

I really wished I’d submitted it online. I’ll never even know if they got it if I don’t get an interview… The thought makes me queasy, a little.

believe in the postal service.
it will have gotten there cira

and i have a masters in ruining data sets. mwhahahahaha!

I’m completely freaking out right now, because I got an email today that they did not receive my transcript that I requested from my school in early January. They provided an email and a fax number.

Which means that either the mail lost it (unlikely), or my inefficient school counseling system lost/didn’t act upon my request (very likely).

So yeah, I’m completely losing my mind right now. I can’t think about anything else, and I have to perform a show tonight, and I have two essays due tomorrow, and I have to translate a chapter of the book we’re reading for French, and…dies

I sent an urgent email to my counselor, but I don’t know what to do. AAAAAHHH!!!

GAH!

Oh, panic, you probably don’t appreciate how hard I am working at not making a “your mom” joke or other bad puns right now. It’s the cross I have to bear.

Disney, just calm down. Panicking never helps anything. You might be able to get an extension on the essays or translation, or some help from your friends. Get to school early or stay late and camp out at your counselor’s office and make them send it out. Break a leg at your show tonight!

I’m sure you could just call or email them to confirm that they have received it.

I believe in the postal service as well. I don’t know the exact figure, but I think the saying goes that the U.S. Postal office is the most efficient service run by the government. At the very least, they always get me my online-bought cds on time.

Disney-guy, my heart goes out to you. I know what’ it’s like to have an apathetic guidance counselor. I think they secretly hate the kids, who are working their butts off to achieve their dreams of going off to college, while they sit behind a desk and watch them succeed.

lol. the government says pfft. and your mom jokes are soo frat boy. raise the bar cira.
and disneyguy do it with me ::breathes::
repeat til your mellow man.

Ugh, dinnertime. Should be back presently.

Sorry, Panic. We all have our faults.

does anyone know how to draw a nose. cuz i was doodling in calc and i couldnt do it :frowning:
truly heartbreaking for me. lol.

Whoa whoa whoa.

Eh, the guidance counselors at my school are just mostly uninformed. The one who came into my APUSH class was amazed at Harvard’s acceptance rate, which she misquoted at 10%. I think she had just learned about it.

I have a new guidance counselor who just started this month, which I am a little bit peeved about. My old one wasn’t great, but at least she would have met me more than twice before she had to write my college recommendations.
