maybe im nutty. but im taking like four. cuz three align with ap’s im taking now and im really good with lit so i felt i should throw it in.
and what are the other two that require three subject tests. they always want to be special. but they are only an hour long each so i dont feel like it is gonna be so terrible. but im taking them in may and then one in june cuz they have a three a session limit. ![]()
such haters.

Hmm… I might take the Chem one, the US History one and one of the math ones. Do you know how hard the literature one is? I heard that the languages are pretty hard, I’m not even going to attempt Latin…

i heard that the lit one wasnt that bad, but then again i own all things english wise.
but i have signed up for us history, literature, physics, math 2

hello all… SAT’s? in 2 weeks…:(

elmo. that’s about when telluride will be ready with their list of interviewees. arent you excited!!??!!

lol.

great… vamp up the stress level a little more will ya?!

Haha. The more and more I think about it, the more and more I realize that I’m almost /expecting/ to get an interview, which is really a very dangerous assumption (especially considering that I put a lot less effort into my essays than I should have…:(); I will be sorely disappointed if I don’t make it to the next round.

But I am usually a pessimist, and I will try to keep a realistic attitude.

On the bright side…no SATs in the near future.

yeah, now that i think of it, i probably won’t get an interview either. my essays weren’t that great

Wait a second… two weeks until interviews… I thought the website said mid-March?

I think our activity on this thread speaks to our devotion to TASP!
That should count for something :P

EDIT: Zach, apparently some people last year started getting interview notifications in early March (March 2, I think?); if you call in early in March, they might let you know early.

Personally, I’m just going to wait for the email. I would just feel so deflated if I called in early to have someone physically tell me that I’ve been rejected. Even the fridge has a heart!

i’ll probably get mine in mid-march since i live a loooooooooooooonnnnnngggg way from TASP headquarters

That just made it so much worse. I was doing fine. You know, keeping it out of my mind, pretending like it didn’t exist. Then I came back here (I haven’t come back since like three days after submitting because it was driving me insane, talking about TASP all the time) and saw that the number of posts had like quintupled. Then I learn that I could find out like two weeks early. Now I think I’m hooked again. Which is a bad thing.

College Confildential is crack cocaine.

I think i might call. i keep telling myself that i wont and i’ll wait but as soon as everybody starts posting up that they got an interview, i will want to know too. i am confident but at the same time not really… i don’t know …

we need a talk topic. i feel too tired for serious debate (went through one today). how about your favorite movie series? (i.e. harry potter series, etc.) mine is Indiana Jones. i know, cheesy, but still…

The person who posts next will either have their chances of getting into TASP either raised or decreased by 1%. Will you take the risk?

Spending so much time on College Confidential is kind of masochistic.

WARNING! ACTUAL TASP INFORMATION BELOW!! AVERT EYES!

Well, as far as I know, you can get your decision in three ways:
I think first they will try to email you.
If that doesn’t work, they’ll snail mail it.
And if all else fails, they’ll call.

But if you REAAAALLLLLLY want to know, you can call in early, I think.

I’m just going to wait for the email. The fantasy lives longer that way.

TASPINESS OVER!!

Okay, favorite movie series…gosh I don’t like many movie series at all. If I had to choose, I would go with either the original Star Wars trilogy, or the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Do those count even as series, really?

EDIT: Apparently I’m quite the risk-taker.

^^you must have gotten used to risk when you were campaigning for world domination

I am most certainly calling in. I don’t think I will be able to stand the wait.

I’m not the kind of person who gets a letter with something important in it and then gets too nervous to open it. I rip that sucker open and tear the letter from within the envelope.

Favorite series…I want to pick something quirky, but I love The Lord of the Rings too much. Hmm… My favorite directors are the Coen Brothers. Maybe that counts. Fargo; The Big Lebowski; O Brother, Where art though?; No Country for Old Men; Barton Fink; Blood Simple…they’re all amazing.

Stanley Kubrick takes a close second: 2001: A Space Odyssey; The Shining; Full Metal Jacket; Eyes Wide Shut; A Clockwork Orange; Dr. Strangelove; Spartacus. All fantastic movies.

D-Yu –
Yes, but I rely more on my superior intelligence to get the job done.

EDIT: O Brother, Where Art Thou?! I love that movie!! Fargo was weird…but smart. I have yet to see No Country for Old Men…

SS, I see you are the brave kind. I usually have to sit for 5 minutes just staring at the little “1 new message!” pop-up before I actually gather up the nerve to open an important email. This is a quite the weakness for an Enlightened despot such as myself; don’t let my secret get out.

intelligence as in brainwashing of the masses?
