Telluride Association Summer Program ( TASP ) 2008

FINALLY! actually, wink does that too… and u stole my animated sound thing, so we’re even…

fine i’ll give you that. and not steal, that’s such a dirty word. i gently borrow.

lets just say i got a friendly loan (with interest!) … and then took off for mexico hehe…

bang schick schick bang schick schick here we go again…

sorry i cut out for lunch. stop shooting things.

i was in outer space, there’s not much to hit…

yeah you say that now. then there’s a new black hole conveniently close to earth…

Black holes might not actually exist. It’s weird.

maybe that’s why my bullets were making left turns in mid-air (or is it mid-space)

id say mid-space

and why is it called “outer space”?

why are stoplights red? why is the thumb on the blinking hand on the crosswalk always on the right side? why are #2 pencils called #2? why is porna so harsh and well…porna-ish?

we may never know…

1) Because red’s fierce.
2) Because the crosswalk-sign industry is secretly plotting to eradicate left-handed people from this world.
3) Because the #1 pencils drowned in the Great Flood along with the unicorns. “Oh, them silly number one pencils…”
4) I am what I am, except for when I’m someone else.

6 days! squeee! 1/2 day until school. not-squee.

uh oh… lets hope porna’s not in a rip-someone’s-head-off-then-eat-their-brain mood today…

Well…if stoplights were green, that would get very confusing.
Red = opposite of green. It just seems the way to go.

why is green go? why is red stop in the first place? why is yellow slow (or speed up reallly fast:)). its not a mix of red and green - that’s brown

would you stop at a brown light? would you be able to see it in the dark?

Red has always come across as a “warning” color (like all those “danger” labels, fire, hot things in general…); maybe that’s why it would be logical to mean “stop”?

Green…is the opposite of red, and a comparatively “passive” color and more soothing/“healing”. I really can’t think of any other logic behind it.

Yellow (or amber) suggests “caution” and psychologically bridges between green and red. Brown is a mixture, but less aesthetically pleasing. Amber is close enough to brown, I guess.

The choices probably had some level of arbitrary decision-making and the need for a standardized system. Red, green, and amber must have seemed logical enough…

haha, mebbe have red, purple, blue lights then?

There’s also the green-'Go!" alliteration to consider.

red, purple, and blue would be pretty!
