i swear im gonna try these jokes out. lol.

Earil, I love 'em!
(your jokes I mean…three posts in between…:p)

Thanks! That’s what Google is for. I remember a few from my Chemistry teacher last year… What do you get when you have a mole of moles digging holes? A mole of molasses!

An HPO3 molecule saw an iron ion lying in the street, groaning. He walked up to him and asked if he was alright. The ion said that he’d just been mugged. The HPO3 asked if he was sure, and the ion said, “Yes, I’m positive!”

Molasses–OK, now that’s /funny/. :)

argh i have a anatomy test and such.

and i dont get the molasses thing.

A New York Peppermint Pattie is a York Peppermint Pattie eaten in New York. By me.

Me neither. Let’s form a band and call it The Mo’lass.

Well, if a bunch of moles were digging holes, you’d only see their backsides… Mole asses?

and throw maple syrup on the crowds.

This is a horrible one–I’m sure you’ve all heard it before because it’s so notorious:

If I could be any enzyme, I would be helicase so I could unzip your genes (jeans).

the geek pick up line. very classy.

My teachers don’t tell jokes, except for my English teacher who makes just-short-of-suable sex jokes because he’s awesome. We learned about sodomy in the Bible

oh oh i have a topic. dance dates. at your schools is it awkward to go to dances without/with dates? whats the norm?

for us, there is homecoming for all grades, junior ball, and senior prom. homecoming, people usualy go as friends unless they are with someone, prom people always go with dates-its awkward otherwise, and jr ball is usually similar to homecoming datewise
Except this year there was this wierd date phenomenon. Like a couple of people in my “group” are now dating people, and then that made other people think they needed dates, so a few people are now going as friends, but I dont have a date because I don’t havea bf and my close guy friends either 1) are in relationships 2) going with other people out of situations that are too complicted to explain here or 3) seniors, which would be wierd since they’d be hanging out with all juniors.
so yeah. I don’t think I’m going…and I was just wondering what it’s like at your schools.

I saw American Beauty today. I think it’s the best film I’ve ever seen.

Except for Saw. But Saw’s in a plane all its own.

Another old one:
Johnny was a chemist’s son,
But Johnny is no more.
What Johnny thought was H20
was H2SO4.

To answer alamode -
Homecoming is very informal, no dates required; usually just friends.
Junior prom is kind of in between, either is perfectly acceptable.
Senior prom is a more of a date-only affair, but friends can go as dates…
Don’t let the social scene dictate your life! Rebel, alamode! Fight the system!

Well, most of my friends don’t really date a lot, so we all go together, alone. A few girls had dates this year, but it didn’t really change much. We all mostly just gaggled about at the dance, although the ones dating steadily spent most of their time with their partners. Except the one who didn’t actually like her dates and just said yes to avoid the awkwardness of refusal, and spent the whole evening avoiding dancing with him. I felt bad for him. I’d say that a lot of groups are mixed dated/dateless, because people just want to go in limos with people they like, irrespective of dating-status.

The Homecoming dance is the biggest joke at my school. No one goes. We have a “semi-formal” in December, which is a lot of fun because we get to wear all sorts of pretty dresses. I don’t know about Prom, but I’d say it’s more date friendly than dateless-friendly.

I’ve ever seen Saw. I would probably vomit if I did; I have no tolerance for gore and violence.

I have no date. I have my lovely Jewish lad and no butch girls at all except my gym girl. (sigh)

I swear, if I make it to TASP, everybody at my seminar is going to be converted to Saw junkie-ism. “Just 3 more movies and no one leaves the godd*mn dorm.”

my English teacher makes these jokes were she fake laughs at the end, stops abruptly, then stares at us. my physics teacher is a badass ghetto fabulous black woman on the inside.

homecoming is friendable but prom is like date necessary. or a partner in crime anyway.

A lot of my friends like Saw… I don’t know about it. I can stand blood and guts, I just don’t like horror movies in general. Much better to actually do something scary than to watch other people have scary things done to them.

I think Saw’s more of a psychological film than a horror film. You know, except for all the cutting-open-a-guy’s-belly-to-escape-a-reverse-beartrap-that-will-rip-off-your-jaw-if-you-don’t-unlock-it-with-the-key-in-his-small-intestine kind of things. But Saw is actually remarkable plot-based; there’s an actual, continual plotline throughout the 4 movies that isn’t centered around killing people.
