Telluride Association Summer Program ( TASP ) 2008

That new poster sounds a lot like porna. (:

although, i must say, hunting has become less manly due to the boundless advantages we have over animals - high power weaponry, odor eliminators, decoys, lures, etc. the animal has almost no defense now against the hunter

well your free to go out with a bow and arrow and maybe a compass.

That one too, Panic. Personally, I don’t have that great of a desire to participate in the slaughter and cleaning of my meat. I feel like I shouldn’t be that squeamish about it- women butchered the small animals like chickens for hundreds of years, and they were the ones making the offal sausages and other icky things. Still, culturally, we’re too far removed from our food sources.

Ugh, the whole scenting business is ridiculous. There was an article about it in the paper a while ago, and doe in heat urine is really expensive.

i don’t kno… maybe go back to the old days and go with a spear and maybe a rock.

If I hunted, I wouldn’t make it a “game” with all of those amenities. It would be me, a gun, and a nice day to crouch in a tree.

Mind you, I say all of this as a person who has never seen a real gun before, let alone held one.

you’d starve before you got anything.

what would you be hunting in the everglades anyway?

I kind of want a garden to grow vegetables and spices in… My family will have one once we move to the winery in a few years, but I’ll be at college for most of the year and won’t get to enjoy much of our canned bounties. I love picking fruits though. Sun-warmed late-September apples are probably the most delicious things I’ve ever tasted. Other than the sun-warmed cherries and sun-warmed strawberries, of course.

is the business really that serious cira?

Whenever i refer to my future, mls, I automatically imagine myself somewhere in the New England region, so I just assumed that i would be hunting in a forest. :P

thank you for that clarification. and does that fox really exist porna reincarnated?

Yep. They have apparently installed separate mini-fridges in area supermarkets because I’m guessing they can’t keep the over-priced animal waste next to the eggs and butter.

hmm… the everglades MIGHT not be the best place to hunt… i.e. malaria infested mosquitos, swamp gas, sawgrass and palmettos, poisonous snakes, and gators…

the money they use for this kinda stuff could like feed hungry people or something…

A lot of people donate the venison they’ve hunted to homeless shelters, I’ve heard. They probably don’t have room for dozens of pounds of it in their freezer.

i bet it is as horrible as a bite from a porna thing.

So…what’s everybody listening to? (:

Feist and The Weakerthans. And yourself?

^not even close, mls…

jack’s mannequin, it is a band for once!

lol elmo. :)
