Telluride Association Summer Program ( TASP ) 2008

haha I read most of the Oxford’s 7th edition last summer  It’s not the most boring thing I’ve ever read though :D

deadaim, yeah, i don’t think you have to resend unless a starving cockroach in the post office decides that TASP-related mails taste better than the others :D

haha. i hope that that is sarcasm. i really do.

im reading most of the summer though. my summer reading is pretty light, but i think ill do the same thing i did last summer: read until my brain aches.

im reading east of eden right now. its really good.

as for the mailing/emailing predicament, i agree. i doubt that anyone wants both. you should be fine.

im hoping that my roommates are cool, though. haha.

six weeks with some weirdos would not be enjoyable, i think.

i hope most people are down to earth enough.

^^I’ll have to disappoint you but it wasn’t sarcasm. My vocab was so dismal and I so desperate that I did read it :>

… though I left out all the words beginning with i, and was finally too cloyed to finish them:D

The more I’ve been reading about it, the more excited I am about going to Texas Austin!

I read Austin is suppose to be one of, if not THE best college town in the nation, and has some of the best entertainment in the world.

aaaaaaah, 23 more days!

Tyler, I TOTALLY share your excitement. I turn 18 while were down there too…it’s supposed to be the live music capital of the US. Awesome!

gah! Rafa Nadal wins for the fourth damn time in a row…with ease T.T
On a lighter note, is anyone else driving to Ithaca?

Yeah, unfortunately, my parents (never having been to Ithaca) are determined to see where I’m staying for the summer. Thus, most unfortunately, my parents are forcing me to let them drive me there. I live in the DC metro area, so its like an 8 hr. drive for us.

On another note, is anyone planning on doing any preTASP reading? Review of modern history or philosophers?

no. definitely not.

i am, however, going to read anything interesting that i get my hands on. summer for me means a lot of poolside sitting, a lot of lit reading (sorry, no plato), and even more sleeping. haha.

i got my grades back, too. they were good, so im going to reward myself with some heavy, heavy relaxing.

haha.

as for the driving thing, that sucks. though i can’t say a total of 9 hours of flying will be any better.

I plan on getting most of my summer work done on the twenty or so hours of flying I’ll be on to and from Ithaca. Fun, fun.

man, i feel for you guys

and i thought my 2.5 hour flight was bad…

Where does everyone live to have such long flights?

Sarah Lawrence, I thought you were in California?

So I think one of my last posts in this thread was about how I came home with a message on the phone from an area code that looked suspiciously like Ithaca but turned out to be Vancouver?

Well, today, I came home and there was a message on the phone from an area code that looked suspiciously like Vancouver, but turned out to be Ithaca.

I’M GOING TO UT AUSTIN :D:D:D

did anyone else luck out with a pubspeak slot in week 1/2?

How do you already have your pubspeak slot?

it came in an email along with my rooming form

I still haven’t found out who my roommate is OR when my pubspeak is. Le sigh.

I go the last week. I’m don’t know what the heck to do this (insert expletive) on. hopefully it’ll be some sexy topic everyone loves u.u

They said we would decide our times when we get there. I think. Can any other UT’ers back me up?

First, congrats Illuminar!! :)

About the pubspeak and rooming, I think it completely depends on the seminar/factota. I haven’t heard about my roommate(s) or pubspeak slot either
