Test Outs?

Is testing out of Pre-calc and Physics over the summer going to be too much work? Will I be able to soak in enough information from now to Aug.4 to receive a C+ or better on both exams?

Maybe, but it may be difficult if it a lot of the material is brand new to you. Since you’re testing out and probably planning to move on to the next course, focus on a solid understanding of the material, not the grade (e.g. C+, A-).

@MITer94 Pre-calc will be fairly familiar for me because some of it’s review of Alg. 2, but Physics will take a little bit longer.

Why are you testing out in the first place? Are you trying to get into AP calc and physics?

I think the bigger question is whether you’ll learn enough information to take any follow-up courses in the future.

@ajr0415 yes, in order to have a more challenging junior year

@Dylan197 Make sure that your intuition for these subjects is on point or else the classes will be tough.

Go for it. Study hard. A C+ should be very doable. If you do not pass, you will have lost nothing. The time you used to study will make the classes easier if needed. If you pass, done!

It’s already the 2nd week of August. School starts sooner than most of us would like.

If this isn’t already well underway, it’s probably way too late.

@bjkmom Might want to read the original post more thoroughly, however, to save you some time, I already took the test a week ago, having studied for the majority of summer.
