Got 7 tabs this morning. How long will it take AIS to update?

AIS and Howdy can take a day or two. I’m assuming you got a TEAM offer?
If you want to live on campus… watch that housing portal and do Phase 1 asap.
If we are getting an error trying to login to Housing Portal, does that mean it just needs more time to update?

Yes…typically a time delay on housing access but should have access before formal congrats on admission.

Are acceptances done once a day or can it update throughout the day? Also I guess the Tues/Thurs for acceptances isn’t the case anymore? Thanks! Still holding out hope for Construction Science.
If you were applying to engineering and go test optional because of a low SAT score and your transcript did not show the required rigor for math and science, you probably would not get engineering even if you were an auto admit to the university. And, honestly, that could be a blessing in disguise. I have a student that is a sophomore engineering student and he saw so many kids that were not prepared for the rigor of TAMU’s math and science and it was heartbreaking for them once they got there. Several kids he knew either changed majors, dropped out of TAMU and enrolled at another university, or just went home to re-evaluate everything.

Yes, my daughter is a sophomore engineering major (at another uni) and counts her blessings that her AP Calc and Chem teachers were so wonderful and she was so prepared. Physics not so much - and she had to work twice as hard to catch up. So I 100% believe that engineering majors need to be seriously vetted. I just hadn’t heard that it had actually happened!

Tabs happen only once a day and in the morning. No one gets tabs throughout the day. Howdy/AIS may update during the day/evening but only AFTER tabs are received.
Tues/Thurs was a coincidence… I don’t think it’s ever been a thing, but there are many on here that do so who knows.

I believe Tuesday/Thursday came from the banner on the admissions page. They notified applicants that admission notifications would be released on Tuesdays and Thursdays. That banner has since been removed.

On the PSA Facebook page, there was a big analysis on the timeline for admission for Class of 2026 PSA students transferring to TAMU, and it included this:
“As for the myth that approvals mostly come on Tuesdays and Thursdays, that was definitely true for our students. Here are the numbers: 46% approved on Tuesday, 37% on Thursday, 11% on Friday, 3% on Wednesday and 3% on Monday.”

If my 1st choice major says blinn team does that mean the major is full or I am on blinn team?

If you have 7 tabs in Howdy and your major says Blinn team, then you got it — and congratulations!
What will the screen look like for Blinn team admit? Is it the same as we see on full admit where it is highlighted as congrats at the top or do you have to poke around in other areas/tabs? Thanks
At the top of AIS this is what it looks like. This switched for my daughter yesterday after she saw 7 tabs in Howdy.

@Gigem2028 means you have been accepted as Blinn TEAM - that is your major.
@texasmom7 has Housing portal opened up for you yet? It’s a 2 step process, make sure student completes both steps-you’ll know it is done when the message says something like “next step is phase 2”.
She can login, but does not have the option to pay/apply yet. Yesterday she could not log in at all and received an error, so looks like we have progress.
Her AIS is still not updated completely. Still says under review. The top of her AIS has her updated to Blinn Team. Edit: the college at the bottom of AIS changed from General Studies (or whatever it was yesterday) to Arts & Science as the (edit: college), but still Blinn Team as major. Is that normal?
