Anyone know when actual rejection letters will go out? Would like this process to be over one way or the other.
I got PSA in mid-March, and that’s considered a soft rejection. Around that time people that were outright denied, not even offered PSA, also got notified.
That sounds awesome. Thanks for sharing. I’m a big cheerleader for Galveston as well. Full Aggie experience, options to go to CStat but smaller classes and campus.
I apologize if I missed the answer to this, I scrolled through the posts but not clear still. If a students gets these three options: T Waitlist only, Blinn Team only, or both, what is benefit of choosing Blinn Team only vs. “both”? or is there none and a student should choose “both”?
I believe if you pick both then you are evaluated for waitlist first which could be until march(or later) so the benefit would be getting a decision earlier - before guaranteed housing and NSC’s fill up. Plus TEAM might fill up by then.
I have two. My first, who is TAMU sophomore engineer, stated on his application that he had toured the Galveston campus and was open to it. He discussed his Galveston tour in one of the questions on the application. He did not receive a choice email. He was just offered Galveston. My second, a current high school senior, put on his application that he was open to either Blinn or Galveston. He is still waiting to hear. He has almost identical stats to his older brother.
Has anyone in BIMS or Biology heard anything? We have heard nothing at all. 3.75 UW GPA, Competitive HS, Sports, Junior Olympics, YMSL(Volunteer), Jobs, NHS. Already accepted at Tarleton as a backup - but he is set on TAMU. If you don’t hear by Feb 01 does that mean you are declined or PSA?
I’m not sure of the timeline this year, but I got PSA in mid-March in 2022.
@erinmb, what date was your application submitted
October 1st
For those who got the summer '24 update in Howdy - our AIS portal finally updated with the official offer. Given the glitch from yesterday - thought I would share in case anyone else is still waiting.
We have it too, thank you for sharing!!!
Thank God.
Personally, I thought that whole “rumor” was likely to be a lot of “a kid said something slightly off to an adult who was looking for any reason for it to not be true.” Ultimately A&M pulling back the signs of an offer would look really, really bad…and I’m glad it was all a misunderstanding of some kind.
Congrats!
Me too… but until its in black and white there is uncertainty…
Feb 1 is UT EA date, TAMU doesn’t have such cut off and when they said decision comes between January and March that’s really about it the last few years.
In the past most PSA released in March, only one of the years in the past they accidentally released some small amount of PSAs in January.
@FriscoDad Do you feel if there is no update/offer in AIS this week, we will be waiting for March then for PSA or rejection?
No one knows, but if you check the same forum for last five years, TAMU released some decisions in Feb. There is no reason to believe that they suddenly become so efficient this year they are able to wrap it up in January.
Depends on majors, some are very easy to transfer to main campus even for PSA. I visited TAMU Corpus Christi campus before and I can say one of the most beautiful campuses in the US. TAMUCC has high success PSA rate to College Station. So PSA although is similar in structure to CAP in UT system, is not the same.
Is Tarleton part of PSA as well?
Tarleton State U, yes
Portal changed to:
You’ve been admitted to Texas A&M’s Aggie Gateway to Success Program
Whew! That was nail-biter!!
